Project Brief
Create247 is a community of musicians creating what they want, how
loud they want, 24/7 and 365 days a year, started as a partnership be-
tween BDRM Records and Wolf Tide Music in Los Angeles, CA.
Create247’s goal is to provide creative living spaces without noise com-
plaints for musicians, creating a nurturing and inspiring environment for
artists, producers and songwriters who enjoy making music from home.
Being able to work at any time throughout the day and night without noise
complaints is invaluable. Create247 aims to be a network of like-minded
creators and respectful residents who all share a passion for music.
Concept
The logomark presents a geometric logotype with negative space design
for 247, placed on a custom drawn sound wave. Create247’s logo comes
in 3 layouts: horizontal, vertical and mark-only (favicon).
The dual color scheme along with the creative sound wave behind the type
present Create247 as a modern sonic-oriented housing provider whose
mission is to help other creatives by eliminating part of their struggle.
Typography
Typeface: Circular Std
Weight: Black
Category: Sans Serif
Circular is a geometric sans serif typeface created by Swiss designer Lau-
renz Brunner and released through Lineto in 2013. Despite being based
primarily off geometric forms, it has quirks that give it a lot of warmth.
Circular is available in four weights - book, medium, bold and black - each
with matching italics. The typeface is Brunner’s second official release,
Aathe other being the well-received Akkurat.
Chromatics
Create247’s digital identity uses a dual color scheme: orange & bondi blue
as their default look and maroon flush & azure as a secondary version.
Both color pairs use pure white as their logotype and -mark’s base color.
