Important Note:
It is compulsory for all Foreign Students to be covered by Edu Medicare Policy as required
by the Malaysian Government.
Upon approval obtained for student pass and visa from the Malaysian Government to
study at AMC, all foreign students are required to pay the sum of RM 350.00 per student
per year being the premium for the said insurance coverage.

Basis of Sum Insured
Personal Accident insurance is a benefit policy and therefore there is no guidelines on
how much sum insured an Insured Person can effect cover. Generally, the practice is that
the sum insured is derived at three to five times of the annual salary of the Insured Person.
The following is just a guide for deriving at the sum insured:

times of the Insured’s annual income.
2) Medical Expenses The Insured is free to choose any amount.
Usually it range from 5 to 10 percent of the

9.2 SCHOLARSHIPS
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
1. Applicants must be a Malaysian
2. Eligible for AMC registered students and valid for 2.5 years of study only.
3. Application Fee (non-refundable) must be settled upon acceptance of AMC
Scholarship.
9.2.1 General Terms & Conditions
1. Scholarships are based on actual examination results only. Forecast or trial results
will not be accepted.
2. Scholarships are applicable for all new applicants into Diploma programs at AMC
College only.
3. Scholarships only covers the tuition/exam fees and shall not include registration fee
or any other miscellaneous fees.
4. Scholarships offered is not exchangeable for cash nor is the unutilized portion of
the scholarships refundable in cash.
5. Applicant can apply for only ONE program and ONE intake from the list of
programs offered.

6. Scholarships is only valid for the program in which the recipient has enrolled in and
for the original duration of study in AMC College. In the event the recipient
changes program the scholarship will be terminated.
7. Students are entitled to only ONE scholarship or percentage fee waiver given by
AMC College. The highest quantum will prevail.
8. Students receiving scholarships/bursaries from other organizations/sponsoring
bodies are not eligible for AMC Scholarships.
9. Scholarships awarded is NOT transferable.
10. All Scholarships, percentage waiver of tuition fees is at the absolute discretion of
AMC College Scholarships Committee.
11. On all matters pertaining to scholarships, the decision(s) of AMC College shall be
final and binding.
12. The scholarships committee reserves the right to reject incomplete or late
application forms.
13. Scholarships will be awarded to qualified applicants based on fund availability.
14. AMC College reserves the right to revoke the said scholarship if the recipient does
not maintain discipline, attendance and good behavior and/or participate in
criminal of tortuous acts of omissions.
15. AMC College reserves the right to terminate the award if the applicant does not
comply with the rules and regulations stipulated by AMC College, including the
terms and conditions mentioned herein and in the Student Handbook.
16. All information furnished by the scholarship recipient must be true and correct in all
respects. In the event of any inaccurate or incorrect information furnished, the
scholarship is liable to be withdrawn without notice and in such event the
scholarship recipient shall be required to pay AMC College the amount of tuition
fee waived to date.
17. Scholarships are valid for one year from the date offer. If the scholarship offer is not
exercised within the year of offer, it shall lapse automatically.
18. For Corporate Scholarship, the recipient is required to maintain a minimum CGPA
of 3.00 (or equivalent, as per required by the Sponsoring Company) at the end of
each academic year in order to maintain their scholarship.

19. All scholarships, percentage fee waiver is not applicable for English Language
programs, part time programs and short courses which are less than one year of
duration.
20. Where applicable, scholarship recipient will be required to sign an agreement
accepting the terms and conditions of the scholarship.
21. For Corporate Scholarship, applicant must apply for PTPTN loan for the duration of
their studies. This loan amount will be settled by AMC College to PTPTN less 25% of
the full tuition fee which will be borne by the recipient, on completion of the
diploma program.
22. Scholarship recipient is required to contribute up to a maximum of 30 hours (one
week) per every long semester to assist AMC in marketing and promotional
activities, extra-curricular activities and other administrative work as notified by
AMC. Failure to comply with such request without reason/s acceptable to AMC
may result in suspension or termination of the award/scholarship.
23. In the event that the recipient withdraws from the program, is suspended or
terminated by AMC College at any point in time, before the completion of the
program, the scholarship shall be automatically terminated. However, should the
recipient withdraw from the program due to medical reasons, his/her scholarship
may be retained, subject to the discretion of the Scholarship Committee and only
after the recipient has provided adequate supporting medical documents
acceptable to AMC.
24. The above constitute the general terms and conditions for all AMC Scholarships.
25. AMC reserves the rights to change these terms and conditions and will
communicate all notices of such change to the applicants by any means including
the following; electronic mail communication to the email address on record,
publication on a prominent site of the college notice board or AMC
website/student portal.
9.2.2 Category of Scholarships at AMC
1. Corporate Scholarship
• High academic achievement(s) with SPM or any equivalent qualifications:
o 5As (55% rebate on tuition fee)

o 6As (65% rebate on tuition fee)
o 7As and above (75% rebate on tuition fee)
• Active in extracurricular activities in school.
• Graduating Students will be bonded on a 2-year Employment contract with the
Sponsoring Organization on a paid monthly salary and standard employee
benefits.
• Recipient must apply for PTPTN loan during their course of study and the amount
of loan will be settle by AMC College on the quantum specified in the scholarship
at the end of the study period.
• Student will also be placed as intern in the sponsoring organization as part of the
program syllabus requirement.
• Recipient must maintain good grades in study with a minimum CGPA 3.00 (or
equivalent, as per required by the Sponsoring Company) each academic year.
2. Sportsman/Sportswoman Scholarship
• Students must be an outstanding sportsman/ sportswoman at State or National
Level.
• Recipient will be entitled to a 30% rebate on the tuition fee of the Diploma
program.
• The full rebate sum will be made to the recipient on the completion of the
program.
• Verification by State or National Sports Association is necessary.
• Scholars must represent AMC College in IPTS games or any other tournaments as
and when required by the College Management.
• Recipient must maintain good grades in the study with a minimum CGPA 2.50
each Academic year.
3. Alumni Scholarship
• Scholarships are offered to students who have completed a full program at AMC
College and eligible for progression to à new and higher-level program.

• Offer of scholarship will only be made when AMC College receives the actual
results or course/ certificate/ diploma or professional program will not be
accepted for consideration for this scholarship.
• Recipient will be entitled to a 20% rebate on tuition fee for the new program. The
full rebate sum will be made to the recipient on the completion of the program.
4. AMC’s Merit Scholarship
• High academic achievement(s) with SPM or any equivalent qualifications:
o 4As (25% rebate on tuition fee)
o 3As (20% rebate on tuition fee)
o 2As (15% rebate on tuition fee)
o 1A (10% rebate on tuition fee)
• Active in extra-curricular activities in school
• The full rebate amount will be made to the recipient on the completion of the
program.
• Recipient must maintain good grades in the study with a minimum CGPA 2.5 and
above each academic year
5. AMC‘s Valued Corporate Partnership Scholarship
• Staff members and immediate family of AMC’s Corporate Partner will be entitled
to a 20% rebate on tuition fee for full time study in a Diploma program at AMC
College.
• Staff verification required by Partner Organization.
• The full rebate amount will be made to the recipient on the completion of the
program.

10.2 PTPTN Loan

PTPTN is only eligible to Full Time Malaysian students who meet the entry requirements.
Students must not assume PTPTN will approve their loan application. The maximum loan
amount stated in the fee structure is subjected to PTPTN’s approval depending on the
parents’ or guardian monthly income.
When PTPTN disburse the loan amount, PTPTN will deduct an insurance fee from the
amount disbursed to the college. College will inform students for the deducted insurance
amount. Students must repay for the deducted insurance fee and any difference if
payment received from PTPTN is lower than the actual tuition fee.
Usually the first loan payment is to be released only after the completed agreement is
received and approved by PTPTN. Subsequent payments will be released after the
college submitted the students’ transcript to PTPTN. It is possible that subsequent
payments will be suspended by PTPTN due to GPA less than 2.0; in that case, student must
pay the fee arrears within 30 days from exam result release. Start

10.3 Employees Provident Fund (EPF) Withdrawal Scheme for

EPF WITHDRAWAL is only eligible to Malaysian. Most full time students will withdraw their
parents EPF saving. The college will provide required supporting document to assist
student to withdraw their parents’ EPF for education. Usually EPF will courier the
withdrawal to the college, however if EPF releases the payment to the student, they must
immediately submit the payment to the college to avoid any penalty.
