The Government of India has always given a special status to the agriculture sector as it is considered the front wheel of the Indian economy. It has introduced various policies and financial schemes to boost the agro sector and the supply chain in tow. The Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) is focused on the ‘Farm to Fork’ model. Crops will be grown depending on the market demand, which will help increase the farmers’ income.
