It is very important for teenagers to eat plenty of vegetables and fruits. Thesefoods contain a lot of vitamins and minerals that teenagers need. Teenagers tooshould eat whole grains which are barley, oatmeal, brown rice and others as theygive them energy. Teenagers should also eat protein-based food such as meat andfish. Food that are high in fat, sugar and salt should be limited. It is advisable for teenagers to drink milk and water for overall health. Theyshould drink at least eight glasses of water per day. Write-it RIGHT/englishspmwritingmodule/spunithansingaroo 71 REVIEW My friend and I wanted a safari experience in South Africa before we startedour second semester at the university. We booked a three-day-two-night’s stay at Camp Mirror Lodge which was just about a 3-hour drive from Johannesburg. Wewere whisked away in the lodge transportation as soon as we touched down. Theride to the lodge was amazing. Although it was a bumpy ride, we managed to takeinall the sights and sounds of what we expected of the African savannah. As we were travelling in low season, we got a superb deal for the twintents that did not empty our wallets at all. The lodge is situated on the banks of a lake witha magnificent view of mountains as its backdrop. The tent was clean, spacious andit came with a private bathroom. All our meals were catered for. We got to experiencebush walks and game drive viewing with qualified rangers, courtesy of the lodge. It was an out-of-this-world experience when we encountered rhinos and gazelles. Weeven managed to spot a leopard or two. In the grounds, there were giraffes sauntering about. There was acomfortable lounge where we could relax. The camp was beautifully lit up at night. Dinners were held in the open air in the style of a BBQ buffet. It was trulyaphenomenal stay and experience which I would definitely recommend this trip tomyfamily and friends. Personally, I would rate five stars for this memorable exoticholiday. If you are planning a safari on a budget, look no further, Camp Mirror Lodgeis the place to go! STORY Lost in the Forest Last week, the Nature Society organised a jungle trekking outing for its members. We went to the lush jungle behind the school. The forest was dense and had thick foliage. As it had rained the day before, the trail was slippery and muddy. The lush forest with its heady eucalyptus aromawas appealing to my senses. Just then, I noticed a large bright blue butterfly withblack edges. I recognised the butterfly as a Blue Morpho. This is a unique sighting as I have only seen the butterfly in books, but never in real life, not even in ButterflyFarms! I decided to capture some pictures of the butterfly. This handsome butterflyflitted happily in the forest. I ran after it, hoping to capture as many pictureas possible. Without realising, I had diverted from the path the others were taking. Thebutterfly flew higher and higher soon, it was impossible to take more pictures. I decided to join the rest but, alas, they were nowhere to be found! I realised I was lost! By now, it had begun to rain and I was feeling cold and hungry. Tears welledup in my eyes. Just then, I heard the sound of breaking branches. My heart leapt intomy throat! What if it was a beast that would devour me for dinner? Suddenly, afamiliar voice echoed into my ears. It was my teacher. He scolded me for goingastray. I was only happy to be found!
