Counselor-In-Training Program

Calling all future camp big buddies! Are you looking for volunteer experience this summer? Do you like playing games
& sports, going on field trips, and having fun? Would you like to build your leadership and presentation skills? Want
to be a camp counselor but can’t commit your entire summer?

Make this a summer to remember by becoming a CIT (Counselor in Training)! Gain community service hours, work
experience and leadership skills, all while having a blast and making a difference in a child’s life! Application packets

H.I.T.S. TENNIS & SWIM CAMP

Footsteps Child Care, in partnership with the City of Belmont and with support from the USTA NorCal, offers the H.I.T.S. tennis pro-
gram. This program combines the challenge and fun of playing tennis with the educational and character-building aspects of team
sports. The program provides campers a cooperative team environment to foster sportsmanship, integrity, camaraderie, respon-
sibility, positive self-esteem and social skills. All participants receive an H.I.T.S. t-shirt, wristband, ball, certificate, players/parents
manual and more! Campers may bring their own tennis racquets or use Footsteps’ equipment.

Campers meet at Barrett Community Center for group time and a healthy snack, then walk to the Carlmont High School for 1½ hours

Wait Lists

• A wait list is established if a program is full. If a space becomes
available, staff will notify the participant via telephone and
email; payment will not be charged until attendance is confirmed.

• Openings will be filled on a first come, first served basis.

Cancelled Classes

• Classes that don’t meet the minimum enrollment one week
before the class starts will be cancelled.

• If a class is cancelled, participants are notified via phone and
email and may transfer to another class or receive a full refund
less the $2.50 processing fee.
