All that pain was put on the cross and risen redeemed within you at the tomb. God sends the
manna. You walk the path.

That exuberant celebration? It's over you, my friend.

You dance in your purpose and live called at the beaten grave. Our ordinary messes provide
extraordinary opportunities to walk in our calling.

Thirty years after that mini karaoke bomb on the bus, I found myself leading a Parents Ministry. I
had three kids under 6 and another on the way. Here I was in the middle of complete mayhem,
tossing moments to Jesus like we were playing ball.

I was lost in that place, clinging to Him, to the freedom of the cross
and His firelit way. And out of that confused wandering, He spoke
purpose. And while I was thinking that if I straightened one more
pillow, prepared one more snack, laundered one more towel I’d lose
myself in the spin cycle, He saw someone loving Him and ready to
lead. The first night I welcomed over 60 couples. It was humbling
to see how God used my family and all of our flaws to speak to
the hearts of so many. I clearly remember meeting one couple, Mr.
and Mrs. Magato. I got so excited and squealed, “Oh, like the Styx
song!” Then, yep, I did it. I sang, “Domo arigato Mr. Magato!”
Mmmhmm. I know. I think I may have danced a bit too. A different
beat. My husband, standing by my side, chuckled and assured me
that wasn’t the name of the song. I roared with laughter, apologizing
to the couple’s confused stare, this time truly seeing the silliness of it all.
Thirty years later and I still didn’t know the words.

But, God.

He’s called me to far greater words since then.
He’s calling you, too, sweet friend. Right where you are, beyond the labels
to Kingdom Work.

Brandy is a homeschooling mom to 7 precious,
rambunctious kiddos and wife to the absolute coolest. Their
days are filled with coffee and laughter and a whole lot of
harmonious chaos. Brandy is passionate about encouraging
women to live out their God-gifted calling in their families
and beyond. She hates small talk and would prefer to dig
deep and string words that lead to Jesus. She wants
nothing more than to walk with you in your calling to faith
