Gala Awards Dinner

The Nassau County Police Activity League has always been grateful to our unit volunteers. Without all of their
hardwork and dedication, we would not be able to have the successful programs that we have today. On May
17th, 2018 at the 4th annual “Get in the Game” Gala, hosted by the NCPAL, six very special volunteer heroes were
honored. Bob Adorno, Kathy Hemberger, Margaret Reed, Victoria Domingo, Dennis Jording & Ralph Morales (not
pictured). With over one hundred forty five years of experience among them, these volunteers are the epitome of
what the PAL is all about. Thank you for your service to the communities and participants of the NCPAL.

these exceptional athletes. Throughout the day

Police Youth Academy

On Saturday, May 12th, the Nassau County Police
Activity League’s Special Needs Unit attended the
Police Youth Academy at the Nassau County Police
Department’s Police Academy in Massapequa Park.

This program shows the participants a day in life of
the everyday patrol cop, as well as those in specialty
units. Thank you to the Academy staff, the
Commissioner’s Office and the Nassau County
Police Foundation for helping to make this possible.
The participants had a fantastic time and they
learned a great deal from this outstanding program!

basketball at the Town of Oyster Bay Athletic Center in Hicksville. Members of the NCPAL Special Needs Unit were
pitted against NCPD’s finest! Although scores were kept at the gym, the real winners were all of the participants who
competed and the memories they will share off the court. They can’t wait to run it back this fall!
