What’s Gaia Project?

Gaia is an environmental education project that proposes the transformation
of the young people's attitudes _ towards the environment where they are
inserted, from the adoption of sustainable practices guided by the 4 Rs: rethink,
reduce, reuse and recycle. The project amins to bring to light a serious problem,
that is still not recognized by most of our children.

Therefore, the need to make
them aware of their responsability
in the planet’s future, and mostly,
what they can do everyday to help
the environment.

Why the Talk Project?

Environmental education is an important topic to be Gaia Project allows the community to
explored in order to develop citizens to an ethic social take notice of the issue, as well as
behavior, adding do the community and looking for taking the responsibility and acting
solutions to creat a sustantable reality. about it. Therefore, the members of
Brazil, although know for its many natural beauties, the project give people the
still sttrugles against environmental problems, and opportunity to change their reality,
the subject is not discussed enough in school. Our practice citizenship and help our
children are not aware of how serious the problem is. country to grow more and better.

What’s my Job Description?

By practical and contextualized activities, the project will enable the knowledge of the 4 Rs
of environmental education:
- Rethink: Making young people aware of the processes of environmental education,

reflecting on our actions, the impacts and how we can change this reality thinking for
the best. In a second step, the end of the project is extremely important to rethink the
whole exercised practice, making the participants internalize everything learned and
how the role of its continuation will provide a great benefit for their environment;
- Reduce: Make possible sustainable consumption, make them understand the economy
and relevance of each action;
- Reuse: Reuse the most of the resources in the same way or another, using creativity for
effectiveness;
- - Recycle: To transform what would be theoretically no longer useful for something
relevant.

Why go to Chapecó?

Chapecó is a city of Santa Catarina, with
about 200,000 hinhabitants. Known as the
“City of Roses", a nickname given through
its many natural beauties, Chapecó is the
largest city in western Santa Catarina. Its
pleasant climate in summer and the winter
cold brings for town tourists from all around
the world .

The city has a strong economy, around five universities, and a beautiful
downtown. The night life is very hectic, with several pubs and clubs to visit.
You’ll have a warm welcome, as people in Brazil are lovely and receptive.
