Why the Gira Mundo Project?
“Gira Mundo” (portuguese expression for ‘World Turns’) is a social Project
where Exchange students from differents parts of the world hold classes and
workshops about 5 different themes: Social Responsibility, Entrepreneurship,
Sustainability, Human Rights, Diversity) to children, teenagers and young adults
in Brazilian NGOs.
The “Gira Mundo” Project is the
biggest social project runned by
AIESEC in Brazil and it takes action in
poor and developing communities.

Why the Gira Mundo Project?
Seeking an environment of inclusive University students from several countries
education through actions of culture, held series of lectures and other activities
information and Fun, Project World Turns education on issues relevant to the
enables Third Sector organizations working formation and critical awareness of reality
with young people and / or children foster young people, contributing to the formation
an environment of discussion about global of a socially responsible generation and the
issues. This project is part of National promoting / encouraging quality education
Citizen Global Industry third, even if you formal organization
have an educational.

What is my job
description?
Aiming cross cultural, the intern will
work on Gira Mundo Project inside
NGO’s doing workshops with
children and youth with diferents
capacities or needs, and will lead
workshops about issues like: Social
Responsibility, Environment issues,
Entrepreneurship, Humans Right
and Multiculturalism. The exchange
student will have to be creative,
proactive and ready to adapt
yourself to different type of publics,
working conditions and
environment. Lessons need to be
creative to engage the children.
Why go to Chapecó?
Chapecó is a city of Santa Catarina, with
about 200,000 hinhabitants. Known as the
“City of Roses", a nickname given through
its many natural beauties, Chapecó is the
largest city in western Santa Catarina. Its
pleasant climate in summer and the winter
cold brings for town tourists from all around
the world .
The city has a strong economy, around five universities, and a beautiful
downtown. The night life is very hectic, with several pubs and clubs to visit.
You’ll have a warm welcome, as people in Brazil are lovely and receptive.
