This first step is where we
discuss your vision and goals
for the project and then review
what exists. That is then
incorporated into an overall
site-specific design. Our
integrated designs include not
only the planting but
everything from the doors
out, such as:

 pools and spas

 driveway

 decks and patios

 walls and fences

 arbors and trellises

 fountains and water features

Sections, elevations and
photos are also included to
help convey the design intent.
A preliminary cost estimate is
prepared based on the
conceptual design.

This phase incorporates all the
conceptual design changes into
a comprehensive set of
AutoCAD layout plans along
with sections, elevations, and
specifications for bidding,
permitting and implementation.
The contractors blueprints
so-to-speak.

These softscape plans are also
for bidding and implementation.
They include planting and low
voltage lighting plans.

They specify the location,
quantity, type and installed size
of each plant or lighting fixture.

implementation │ project administration

Project Administration is the final step and typically begins once the drawings are complete, although
it is sometimes engaged during the design process. ‘PA’ is where we represent you during
construction with, for example, obtaining and analyzing bids, selecting contractors, and then assisting
those contractors with on-site layout or adjustments and ensure the project is built according to the
plans.
