the league. round.”
Tuesday night saw us prevail against a very tough Soham
side and although for the most part it was a fair if not bruising
encounter there was one incident that enraged me. The 1st
half challenge from the Soham No 2 on Charlie Dawes was
nothing short of GBH. He purposefully came in late with his
elbow and head leaving Charlie with concussion. The fact
that the Soham player was left worse off with a bad gash
across his forehead is immaterial. He should have been
shown the red card but only got a yellow allowing them to
bring a sub on.
But we got the result in the end and now face Hednesford
Town at home in the next round.
Todays opponents will give us another stiff test, they sit
3rd in the league and will be looking to maintain that
position today.
We hopefully welcome back Pat Lindley and Lynton

Whatever happens the players as always will put in 100%
