Although the Winter Track Team does not have dual
meets, the Wilson men, led by Coach Robert Holling
sworth, competed in locally-sponsored meets. One of
these, the Lower Bucks County All-Comers Meet, was
dominated by Wilson. Ian Esche, Mercer King, Rich Lee,
and Bill Budman each won two medals.
Tracksters and Ice-Men
This year a new team was formed at Woodrow Wilson
rise to meet the challenge High School, the Ice Hockey Team. The Ram Ice-Men
underwent an organizing year but expect to improve with
age. Coached by Brain Sacharczek of the Bristol Bengals
and Wilson alumnus Bill Schiavo, the skaters will learn
much and increase their skills. This season's leading scor
ers were Ken Zaborowski and Lee Sciarra with seniors
Nick Petratos, and Joe Shedelbower not far behind.

Due to the fact that there was no gymnastics team last
year . you've come a long way, guys! Helpful were the
untiring efforts of Coach Fred Lewis, whose main philoso
phy is "winning isn't everything, it's the only thing!" The
team's key man is John Hogan who also happens to be the
Wilson Men's Gymnastics only all-around man on the team. Their quiet and gentle
coach has inspired them to a season of 11 wins and 5 loss
es, a great first-year record. Outstanding seniors are Ran

of the swim team are senior co-captains Kevin Allen and
Curt Miyamoto. Although Kevin and Curt are leaving this
year, the bulk of the team lies within the junior class men.
Leading point getters and lettermen respectively are Jim
Kline, Kevin Allen, Chuck Funk, Curt Miyamoto, Shaughn
Richardson, Pete Reeves, and Tom Wisnewski.
Shaughn Richardson shows winning form.
The Women's Swim Team has had many problems this
past season: not with the competition, but with lack of
participants and with sharing the pool with Delhaas. After
the loss of Mr. Picariello as coach, Mrs. Miller stepped in
and did a commendable job. The women are, however,
looking forward to next year with enthusiasm, with such
people as Kathy Albright, Janette Young and Eileen Han
nah as well as a developing group coming back to form
the nucleus of a strong team. Still, the team will feel the
loss of such seniors as Pat Young, Charyl Terry, and diver
Kim Meany.

Mr. George Hopely
It is only through labor and prayerful effort, by
grim energy and resolute courage, that we
move on to better things.
Theodore Roosevelt

Dear Seniors:

Looking back over the past school year, I have
many fond memories of our class activities. This
has been one of my most rewarding years spent
at Wilson. It was due in large part to the hard Mr. Carl Grecco
work and effort of the members of the class of
75. I would like to extend best wishes to each
and everyone of you, and as you leave Wilson
may you find success, whether it be in marriage,
in further education, or in the pursuit of a ca
reer. I hope you have the vision and luck to
make the right choices. I have enjoyed working
with the members of the class and thank every
one for all the help you have given me over the
past school year. I am particularly grateful to
those students whose efforts made this year Mrs. Nancy Johnston
book and other class activities so successful.
