Wolf

Come with me.
And you will see.
The high and mighty world
of the Wolf!

Do not be scared.
Don’t be afraid.
There still be no fire,
Or no raid.
Come join the pack now.
In a long and mournful howl
For lost sisters and brothers
Who were not killed by
others
But a greater enemy than
that!
It just eats meat, not bone or
fat,
It even puts it in a can!
Yes, that enemy is man!

Boo Hoo

I was watching the news last night
When I heard something that gave me
a fright
Bush said war with Iraq was near
Which filled my mind and body with
fear.
As Bush was talking
My thoughts were shaking and rocking
This is stupid! War with Iraq
People will leave and not come back
Parents will die, children too
And the world will cry “boo hoo”.

Fire

The fire comes
On a blazing Tiger

It over looks
The mountain

Seeing what
It should destroy

Silently it kills
Innocent lives
And then moves on

Wonders of the
Sky
The sky is a floating,
Valley of blue,

Where nobody knows,

What they will do.

With the wind so wild,

The sun so hot,

You could cook popcorn in a pot.

Or could you go diving
In water so clear,
Where there would be nothing,
For you to fear?

You may look at the clouds
In the sky,
And make images that might
surprise,
And peer that you are near.

Or you may listen,
To the lullabies,
That the birds make,
In the sky.

Or could you travel,
To faraway places,
And meet people with new faces.

What would you do?

The sky is a floating,
Valley of blue,
Where nobody knows
What they could do.

Noise in Weda

Weda is the name of my old school in
Bulgaria. When I was
going to school, I heard the noises from
my class. When I went in, I had
to put corks in my ears. All students
(beasts) cried until the teacher came
in. They always played a game: “who
seats last is a loser”. In this way
they had to sit very fast, making a lot of
noise. Except for two teachers,
they didn”t get embarrassed from
anybody. The first was a teacher in
the Bulgaria language. She was very
strict. The students were afraid of
her. The second was the teacher in
German. It was so interesting to stay
in her lessons so that all students
listened and had no time for their
stupid
games. I preferred to have lessons only
with her. In all the other lessons
it was so noisy that I couldn’t believe
these were normal students. When
it was time to go home, I thought: “This
is enough for me.” When I was
back home, I lay on my comfortable
sofa and watched TV quietly.

Feelings

Just like today, 20 years ago kids felt alone and treated poorly by
classmates. If you feel this way, please remember there are counselors and
other adults you can talk to anytime you need someone, even if it’s just to
listen.

They look at me and laugh. watch my step or I will fall?
I don’t know why they laugh So now I watch my step

Is it how I look? I’m alone in this world.
Is it how I dress? I walk through the hall, and

How Saturn
Got Her Rings

Long ago when the universe was young, the King of the universe became very
unhappy.
“I am so unhappy,” he would moan.
“A wife is what you need sir.” One of his wisest advisers exclained. “ I’ll go get
some picutres of the young maidens of the Milky Way Galaxy.”
First, the advisor showed him a picture of Venus.
“I think she is beautiful, but I can’t tell through all those clouds. Next!” cried the
King.
“How about Earth?” his advisor asked as he pulled out her picture.
“Too inhabited; we would never have any privacy,” grumbled the King.
“And Jupiter?” questioned his advisor.
Immediately upon gazing at her image, the King exclaimed, “She’s perfect!”
So Saturn and the King were married, and the King gave his bride some beautiful
rings: one for their engagement and one for their marriage. That is how Saturn got
two of her rings.
The King promised that for every year, he would give Saturn another rings.
They are lovely, but are just getting too heavy,” Saturn whimpered. “I’m afraid if I
get any more rings I’ll fall out of place in the galaxy.”
So the king didn’t give her any more rings, and she kept the seven she had.

From A Room without a Story

It was a dark and stormy night in New York, but this story takes place in

South Carolina. The Smith children were sitting around on a bright warm

but boring day…(they) liked to solve mysteries….

“The mystery door. We can find its secret,” John replies.

After a moment’s silence Sally Asks, “Do you know how many doors

there are in this world?”

Mike drew up a map of the house and pointed to an X in the middle. “It

has a keyhole and a

riddle, but no key.” “Then all we have to do is decipher the riddle.

Let’s go”…

Eleven chimes past meridian

Look in back to find the key,

Then open the door,

What will you see?...

On the eleventh chime, the (clock) panel swung open to reveal a key.

They grabbed the key and ran for the mystery door… They were never

A Book is Like a
Television

A book is like a television,
Only longer than any show,
With no commercial breaks at all,
And no pictures to be known.
You think of pictures in your head,
As images put on paper,
But a book is a whole new kind of
thing.
Yet similar and tamer.
You use a brush to make an image
Of the picture that you know,
But a book’s words are like paint
And your eyes are like the brush.
You can watch a show you like,
But you can’t play it again.
With a book it’s much simpler.
You watch it with a pen.
A book is like a television.
Only better than before.
You may think the TV is fun,
But try a book just to be sure.

Why You Should be a Vegetarian

or something like that? I’m sure

Mother’s Identity

My mother takes pride in whatever she does. She teaches at 20
Richneck Elementary School in Newport News. With teaching she
has not only increases her identity she has redefined it. She puts
so much work time, effort and money into teaching every year. She
is always planning and making adjustments. This occurs not only in
her teaching, but in everything she does. Her taking pride in
whatever she does may not always be obvious, but that is the one
thing that I have come to know her by. MY mother’s identity
relates to me and my school work. I actually take pride in what I do
to.

In life, to me, there are two different ways of expressing
how you take pride in something. One is showing off your work or
latest action and activities without shyness. Another way to
express pride is embracing whatever you do., making it better, or
even extraordinary.

The second way is my mother’s way and the way her identity
has related to me in my schoolwork.

Reasons

There are reasons for everything.
There are reasons that we are the way
we are;
I have mine, and you have yours.
There are reasons I hate being alone,
Reasons I hate being in the dark,
And reasons I hate silence.
I have reasons why I hate seeing myself
in mirrors;
They actually show the person I am on
the inside.
I have reasons why I love shadows;
They make things appear different than
they really are.
There are reasons for everything,
There are reasons that make us who we
are;
I have mine, what are yours?
