On March 27, 2018, Michelle was ad-
mitted into the Avera Hospital due to
an illness that was affecting her mo-
bility. While being hospitalized for 2
weeks, Michelle was diagnosed with
CIDP, which is her autoimmune system attacking her nervous system. This diagnosis has also caused issues with her vision as well. She is re- quired to see a specialist for this. The recovery time can be up to a year or more, with no guarantees that her nerves will ever regenerate. Michelle has to have 24/7 around the clock care, she is currently receiving home health care to rehabilitate herself back to normalcy. She also will receive infusion treatments for the next few months. Anyone who knows Michelle knows she is a fun loving, free-spirited, and very outgoing person who cares deeply for her family, friends, and community. Despite feeling less and less involved in her family's day to day lives, Michelle continues to fight daily to be there for her kids, be independent and feel like she can start giving back. Her family has been impacted tremendously by this, emotionally and financially, and could use all the support they can get.

Life of the “Called Out” - The Church (92) Being Faithful to Jesus
The eve before Jesus went to the cross, He gave a new command to His disciples which would be the markedly great distinction between true Christians and all other people. “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you... By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another” (John 13:34-35). It was an even deeper love and special “one another” love among Christians than the command to love one’s neighbor. In order for this love to de- velop, there would necessarily be a foundational principle upon which the “one another” qualities of Christianity would flourish.
The apostle Paul stated this principle as he opened his epistle to the deeply divided Corinthian congregation – “Now I plead with you, brethren... that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment” (1 Cor 1:10). Without the purposeful goal to be unified, none of the “one another” Christian qualities will develop.
When Paul wrote this, he emphasized being of the same mind and same judgment. In other words, striving to be in complete agreement. This unity is different from being united.
We live in the United States of America, but to say the states are uni- fied would not only be a stretch, it is a sharp contradiction. Each state has its own laws to serve its purposes. We are united under the US con- stitution, but each state also has its own constitution. Even the US supreme court judges, supposedly honoring the constitution, are usually at odds with one another. United by presidential appointments, but cer- tainly no unity! This is the stark contrast to Jesus command to adopt the “new” commandment to “love one another.”
Following His speech (John 13-16) to His disciples, Jesus prayed in their presence for all who would become Christians – “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us...that they may be made perfect in one...” (John 17:20-23). Unity is the first quality of Christian “one anotherness.”
