jet region of the bath, allowing you to customise
your spa experience. Available in the Evora and
Ario spa models only.

The back jet system helps loosen tension
throughout the back and shoulders. Water flow
rate, or intensity, can be varied.

C. Adjustable Body Jets

Adjustable jets allow you to angle the waterflow
for maximum therapeutic benefits. Direction and
flow intensity can be varied on each individual jet.

D. Evora Rotary Pulse Jets

Patented Twin Helix Rotary Massage Jets produce
a uniform air/water mixture with a unique circular
bubble pattern and continuous, swirling rotary
action. When targeted on tense and sore muscles
they deliver a soothing deep tissue massage.

E. Airflow Control

Used to vary the intensity of the air massage,
simply by turning the control.

F. Electronic Control

Electronic control panels provide fingertip
control. The Electronic control allows the heater
to be turned off while the pump is still running
conserving energy and enabling you to maintain a
comfortable water temperature at all times.

while being massaged by thousands of
soothing air bubbles that invigorate
the whole body.

AirMassage™ baths operate on newer technology than
water jet spa baths. They use a warm air blower that
generates thousands of tiny air bubbles through small
air jets in the lower sides of the bath. These bubbles
caress the body as they move toward the surface of
the water and revitalise with a non aggressive,
full-body massage. AirMassage™ baths provide a
gentler massage than conventional spa baths, so
perfect for older people. Also, the air jets are very
small – so less obtrusive, and detract little from the
attractiveness of the bath.
Air baths offer a combination of therapeutic benefits
to give maximum relaxation. Water provides the feeling
of weightlessness, warmth relaxes the entire body and
air movement works on blood circulation. It offers a
degree of relief from the pain of some physical

An unlikely time to start a new business in America.
A financial panic had begun in September of that
year, followed by a depression that affected the
national economy for the next five years. Despite
the economic uncertainties of the day, John
Michael Kohler purchased the Sheboygan Union
Iron and Steel Foundry, never anticipating the
growth of the company that would eventually bear
his name.

The firm produced cast iron and steel implements for
farmers in the area, castings for the city’s furniture
factories, and ornamental iron pieces that included
hitching posts, cemetery crosses, urns and settees.

In 1883 John Michael took a product in his line called
a horse trough/hog scalder, heated it up to 930
degrees Celsius and sprinkled on some enamel
powder. He liked it so much he pictured it in his
catalog, calling it “a horse trough/hog scalder, when
furnished with four legs will serve as a bathtub.”
Kohler was in the plumbing business.

Like Kohler, many of the early employees were
immigrants. Steeped in a heritage of European
craftsmanship, they were eager to achieve success
in their new country. Their dedication to excellence
helped to forge one of the oldest and largest
privately-held companies in the United States; a
company that has grown to international stature with
30,000 associates worldwide. From potteries in
Mexico and China, to showrooms in Japan and France,
KOHLER ideas, craftsmanship and technology are at
work today leading the way to more gracious living in
plumbing products, exquisite furniture, engines and
generators, hospitality and real estate.

KOHLER purchased Englefield in 2001. Englefield
were market leaders in showering and bathing
products. Kohler added vitreous china products
to their range – toilet suites and basins, so
completing Englefield’s Total Bathroom Solution.
