Discovery Ball patrons,
As Chair of the American Cancer Society’s Rewriting Hope: A Prelude
to Nashville Discovery Ball, I am thrilled to welcome you to the
Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum on Sunday October 17. You
will experience and intimate evening with live music, fine dining, a
silent auction, and moments that honor Milton Johnson, Amanda
Mathis, and the Memorial Foundation for the impact they each have
had on our community.
Since 2004, the American Cancer Society's Memorial Foundation
Hope Lodge in Nashville has offered a solution to cancer patients
who must undergo treatment far from home. The Hope Lodge
provides housing free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis to
cancer patients and a caregiver during their course of treatment. The
Lodge not only reduces the financial burden but also provides a
much-needed supportive environment.
I am honored that Rewriting Hope: A Prelude to Nashville Discovery
Ball supports this critical community resource, and thank you all for
supporting the American Cancer Society.
Sincerely,
Mary Alice Heston

Mission Moment
Join us in supporting the
Memorial Foundation Hope Lodge
during our Mission Moment
The Discovery Ball supports the local American Cancer
Society’s Memorial Foundation Hope Lodge. The Lodge offers
cancer patients and their caregivers a free place to stay when
their best hope for effective treatment is in Nashville.
Hope Lodge provides a nurturing, home-like environment
here guests can retreat to private rooms or connect with
others. Our Hope Lodge also offers a variety of resources and
information about cancer. Most of all, it serves as a true home
away from home.
