Prekmurska gibanica:
This is typical Slovenian dessert. It has
4 layers of different stuffing. In the first
layer is poopy, second is curd cheese,
third layer is of walnuts and last is of
apple.
Potica:
It is another dessert that contains
walnuts. Potica is very delicious.
Krofi:
In America they have donuts, but in
Slovenia and in other European
countries we have donuts which are
filling with apricot jam and they are
like little balls.
Kremna rezina:
Have you already heard for Bled? It
is a small town in Slovenia and it has
our biggest and only island. This
island is not very big. On it there is
just a church and is big tourist
attraction. Also kremna rezina is from
Bled. It is made of cream.

Zucchini pie:
Ingredients: zucchini, cheese, puff pastry, salt
Method:
Slice zucchini and put them on the puff pastry
Add cheese
Cover the ingredients with puff pastry
Put the pie in the oven for 25 minutes (180°)
Fiorentina
Ingredients: beef steak, oil, salt, herbs, pepper
Method:
Beat beef steak with meat mallet
Put herbs, pepper, salt and oil on the meat
Grill the meat for 4/5 minutes
Put it in a dish and serve with some vegetables.
Chocolate salami
Ingredients: chocolate, biscuits, milk
Method:
Dice the chocolate and put it in a bowl
Break the biscuits and put them in the bowl with the
chocolate
Add milk
Knead the ingredients and shape them into a
“salami”.
Put it in the fridge for 2 hours. Enjoy!
Affettati misti
Ingredients :
Cold cuts and local cheese served in a plate
Risotto allo zafferano
Ingredients:
300g of rice
45g of saffron
Method: cook the rice for 15 minutes, add saffron, serve
with cheese.
Crostata
· Ingredients:
· 300g flour
· 2 eggs
· 100g sugar
· 250g butter
· 50ml milk
· 120g peach jam
Method
Prepare the dought with flour , eggs, sugar, butter, milk.
Bake the dough , add the jam, serve.
Krofi (doughnuts):
For 24 doughnuts:
Ingredients:
1kg of flour
14 dag oil
10 dag yeast
1 small spoon of salt
½ l of milk
8 yolks
10 dag of sugar
2 packs of vanilla sugar
1 torn lemon
4 spoons of rum
1 torn nutmeg
We put yeast in hot milk and we let it stay.
Then we mix it with flour and all of the other
ingredients. Then we mix them for 20 minutes
in the mixer. After that we put 8 dag of all the
dough to make each doughnut the same size.
Then we make doughs into small balls. Then
we let them stay for about 20 minutes. We
prepare oil and we fry the each doughnut. We
fry them for 4 minutes on each side. And the
last step is to put any kind of jam in it and then
we sprinkle them with powder sugar.
Goulash soup
Ingredients:
Oil, onion, paprika, green pepper,
tomato, carrots, parsley, potato,
pepper, caraway seeds, beef / pork,
water
Dice the onion and fry it in oil. Add
some paprika and then the diced
meat. Simmer the meat for 45
minutes. Then peel the vegetables
and cut them into cubes. Add them
to the stew. Then add some water.
Boil the soup for 30 minutes. You
can cook this meal in a pot in the
kitchen, or in a cauldon in the
garden. Definitely, the second one is
much tastier!
Chestnut puree
Ingredients:
chestnut puree, whipped cream
Grate the chestnut puree and put it
in a bowl. Serve it with cream.
