- Only ten (10) tickets will be allowed to be sold per person
per game for the “Pick 3"

- Chino trousers are not allowed to be worn during play and
visitors to wear a jacket and tie for prize giving.

- We are playing “Ready Golf” not “Speedy Golf”
- Please adhere to Nomads Dress Code - only recognised

Fellow Nomads,

The February game at Wedgewood Golf Club was
played on Saturday the 22nd. It was a great
privilege for me to have played with George Saffy in his 350th
game as a Nomad of 43 years.

The course was in pristine condition with the greens being
lightening fast and fairways were in great condition.

Thanks to Wedgewood, Matt and all the staff for that was done for
Nomads. Thanks to Shaun Ryan, Gerrie Fourie and George Saffy
for joining in my 4 ball.

Congratulation to Neale Kunhardt on his 45 year tie award,
Andrew Taylor for his 100 game award, Tim Mason 300th game
badge.

Congratulation to the divisional winners and runners up, and all
the winners on the day.

Welcome to Nomads, our new inductees Wayne Du Randt, Mike
Duff, David Wiblen, Jurgens Van Onselen and to the National
sponsor Chris King. We hope you enjoy your journey with
Nomads

I would like to thank the ladies for assisting and to welcome
Leonie with registration and prize sheet and hope to see them at
the table in my year to come.

Greetings fellow Nomads,

I hope you all enjoyed your round at the windy and
testing Wedgewood course.

Congratulations to all the winners and of course to
George Saffy and Tim Mason for reaching their incredible mile
stones of 350th and 300th game badges respectively. You both have
joined an elite group that not many of Nomads will ever achieve.
Thanks to all our Nomads who came out and cheered these two
stalwarts on as they finished their rounds on the 18th. I am sure
they will cherish the memory.

Thanks to Jeanne, Christel, Bev, Joanne and Leonie for the hard
work you always put in. For those of you who might not know,
Leonie is the better half of newly inducted Nomad, Jurgens van
Onslen, and she has shown interest in getting permanently
involved with our current ladies at Nomads Eastern Cape.

Welcome a board Leonie and congratulations to our newly
inducted Nomads, Jurgens van Onslen, Chris King, David Wiblin,
Mike Duff, Wayne du Randt and Tim Smuts. I wish you all the very
best with your chosen choice of joining one of the best golfing
organisations in the world. Have fun, make new friends, network,
get involved wherever you can in Nomads.

Lastly, Gents, please remember our AMT Golf day on 3rd April at the
Port Elizabeth Golf Club. I need your support to make this day a
success. The entry forms have been sent out to you, so please
make an concerted effort to get your mates and clients to join us.

AMT projects

Lake Farm required additional water storage as their reservoir
had severe cracks in it which did not allow them to hold much
water. The work that we were able to complete for them was to
seal their existing reservoir so it can hold water at full capacity
as well as purchase 4 x 5000L water tanks. To hold these
additional tanks we laid a concrete slab and then connect the
tanks with pipes to the existing reservoir. This enables them to
utilise not only the existing reservoir water but also an
additional 20,000L of water for the residents of Lake Farm.

A reminder to members of important information and upcoming events

Late withdrawal from Monthly and Special Games
-members are requested to notify Jean of their intended withdrawal before 17h00 on a Friday
before a game or be liable for the green fees. NO MEMBERS may enter or withdraw on behalf
of other members!

Payments
-Would all Nomads doing EFT or bank deposits please use your name as a reference.
Cheques to be made out to: Nomads Golf Club Eastern Cape

Divisional Trophies
-Those members who have been victorious at a monthly game are urged to return their divisional
trophies to the Equipment Officer before the next game or incur a R200.00 fine

Tee-Off Times
-the Starter is struggling to ensure that the field gets off the tee box on time at our various games
-we urge you to arrive in due time at the respective courses, bearing in mind all that must be done
before even teeing up your ball on the 1st

Early Leavers (You will be fined!!)
You will be charged R20.00 for apologies at Registration -
R40 for apologies after the game and R100 for not apologising at all.
“Note that prize giving is part of the day and we owe it to our sponsors to attend.”

Dress Code
-Regulation dress is required at all times. The correct attire can be obtained from Orion Meyer.
