Sussex County’s expanding population is bursting with

hospital afterwards. Today, many patients are going home the next day – or

Beebe Healthcare’s new $124 million Specialty Surgical Hospital at the
Rehoboth Beach Health Campus will allow patients to have scheduled or
elective procedures in a center designed just for them.

Types of surgery offered at the new Surgical Hospital will focus on
orthopaedics, general surgery, urology, and gynecologic surgery. Surgeons
will incorporate minimally invasive as well as robotically assisted surgeries.

Beebe’s Center for Robotic Surgery will be located at both the Margaret
H. Rollins Lewes Campus and at the new Specialty Surgical Hospital where
certified surgeons will use the da Vinci Xi Surgical System – the most
advanced robotic technology in Sussex County.

Rollins Lewes Campus allowing patients to have the best experience based

Expanding South & West: Caring for
All of Sussex
Construction of a new South Coastal Health
Campus on Route 17 near Millville is already
underway. The new campus will include a free-
standing Emergency Department and a second
location for Beebe’s cancer center.

Beebe is also expanding in central Sussex with
plans for a freestanding Emergency Department
in Georgetown. Beebe’s Georgetown location
already provides lab, imaging, primary care,
and walk-in care for central and western Sus-
sex County. In addition, Beebe Medical Group
specialists will be rotating to the Georgetown
location, as well as other locations, to provide
care in areas of OB/GYN, general and bariatric
surgery, and vascular care.
