MORE THAN JUST A CAMP
Summer Camp at the Lake Nona YMCA will give your
child the opportunity to grow and thrive in a fun and
safe environment. We strive to give your child the
best experience at camp. Our nurturing and
experienced camp staff, exciting activities like
swimming, arts & crafts, games, field trips and more
make our camp one that your child won’t forget. You
will not want your child to miss out on what great
things we have in store for our campers! This will
truly be the BEST. SUMMER. EVER.
FAQ:
What should my camper wear to camp?
Campers should wear active type clothing & closed-toe shoes.
What should my camper bring to camp? What should my camper NOT bring to camp?
Campers should bring spray sunscreen, a water bottle, morning and afternoon snacks, a swim suit, towel and
lunch. Items that should be left at home, include any electronic devices, personal toys from home, or anything of
high value.
What is the camper to staff ratio?
We maintain a ratio of one counselor for every 15 to 18 campers.
Do you offer financial assistance?
Yes, as a non-profit organization, financial assistance is made possible through charitable donations to our
Annual Support Campaign. The deadline to apply is May 1st.
When will parent orientation take place?
Parent Orientation will be May 31 at 6:00 PM at the Lake Nona YMCA. Parents will get to ask specific
questions, campers will receive their camper t-shirt, and they can enjoy some ice cream!
How are weekly camp payments made?
Weekly camp fees are to be paid in advance the week prior to the camp you are attending or paid in full. At
initial sign-up you will pay the registration fee and the first week of camp. A minimum of two weeks written

Do you offer any type of educational enrichment?
Yes, in addition to having fun at camp your child will also learn! We encourage campers to have quiet time and
read weekly to prevent Summer Learning Loss in addition to having fun during our enriching activities.

Kinder Camp is a special camp geared specifically for those about to enter Kindergarten! During camp, our
