“Where we believe your retirement outcome depends on your retirement income.”
The 2007-2008 Season
“Mame” — Sept. 7-9, 13-16, 20-23. Mame has a wild,
adventurous spirit and believes that life is a banquet. As she
lives life to the fullest, expect to hear some familiar tunes,
particularly “Mame” and “We Need a Little Christmas.” The
book is by Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee, and music
and lyrics are by Jerry Herman.
“The Mousetrap” — Oct. 19-21, Oct. 25-28, and Nov. 1-4.
Agatha Christie’s mystery takes place in a boarding house,
where a group of strangers is stranded in a snowstorm. One
of them is a murderer. A policeman arrives, and the murders
continue. Whodunnit?
“A Christmas Carol” — Dec. 7-9 and Dec. 14-16. The
miserly Scrooge gets his attitude adjusted by the Ghosts of
Christmas Past, Present, and Future.
“Lend Me a Tenor” — Jan. 18-20, Jan. 24-27, and
Jan. 31-Feb. 3, 2008. This farce by Ken Ludwig is about
the Cleveland Grand Opera Company and the world-famous
tenor who is supposed to open the season there. The tenor is
late. What to do? It involves much slamming of doors and
mistaken identities.
“The Boys Next Door” — Feb. 29-March 2, March 6-9,
and March 13-16, 2008. The play focuses on the lives of
four mentally handicapped men who live in a communal
residence under the watchful eye of their frustrated social
worker.
“The Sound of Music” — April 25-27, May 1-4, and
May 8-11, 2008. With music by Richard Rodgers and lyrics
by Oscar Hammerstein II, you can’t go wrong. The hills will
be alive with the sound of music as the Von Trapp family
flees the Nazis, singing all the way through the Alps.
“The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood” — June 13-15
and June 20-22, 2008. In this comedy, Robin Hood aids a
damsel in distress while evading a sheriff who loves to bowl
and a spoon-wielding band of merry men.
