Cast Biographies

MEGAN BRIDGET (Catherine) They say art imitates life and this show is
no exception. I lost my mother in October of 2019 and to be able to breathe
life into Catherine with the help of that experience has been nothing short
of surreal. My mother wrote,“It is they who have gone before who hold
us.”She was right. I can’t thank my closest friends and family enough for
their support these past few months. I’m home safe. XoXo Bunny

DAN RADTKE (Robert) This is such a treat. Dan has had the pleasure of
doing a lot of comedies; Escanaba in Da Moonlight, Guys on Ice, The 39
Steps. He loves making people laugh. Dan has only done one drama, 12
Angry Men. He loves this play because it deals with math (he loves math),
but most importantly, it deals with mental health and how that can affect
all of us. Special thanks to the cast, his family, and to all those who suffer
from mental illness.
DOMINIQUE SICARD (Claire) was once told,“Everyone is a work in
progress.”People say or do things while always thinking it’s the best choice
they can make for themselves - or for others. No one ever realizes they
made a mistake until after they’ve lived with it for a while. It has been a
journey to discover what drives Claire, one that Dominique has been so
grateful to take with William, Megan, and the others who have worked
so hard to bring you this beautiful production. She thanks her friends and
family for their love and support. Dustin, love you always.

ALLANTE WALKER (Hal) is thrilled to be part of such a powerful,
thought-provoking show. While this is Allante’s first show in the Veterans
Studio Theatre, he is no stranger to LCT. You may have previously seen him
in Newsies, The Game’s Afoot, and Cabaret. Allante works as a producer/
reporter at WXOW News 19. As always, endless thanks to his family and
friends for their support.“What mental health needs is more sunlight,
more candor, and more unashamed conversation.”

Production Staff Biographies

WILLIAM GARCIA (Director) first appeared on stage at the age of seven, and quickly
realized that what he really wanted to do was direct. He holds a Bachelor of Science
degree in Film Production: Directing from the University of Texas at Austin, and a
Masters in English Literature with an emphasis on Drama from Middlebury College.
He has served as the primary director for the Ypsilanti Youth Theatre, and as a sponsor
and director of the Washtenaw International High School Drama program. He has also
directed and produced several short films. Recently, he directed Newsies and appeared
in The Secret Garden and Bad Seed at LCT.
KIT MAYER (Set/Lighting Designer) is the resident scenic designer for LCT. Since
emigrating from Albania, he has been active in designing theatre throughout the
region, working at the Commonweal Theatre, Viterbo University, St. Mary’s University,
and LCT. He is a founding member of the Fairbanks Shakespeare Theatre and has had his
work seen throughout the country, as well as Europe, Canada, and Australia.

LUKE ERICKSON (Asst. Director/Sound Designer) is delighted to be back for his third
show at LCT after Bad Seed and last season’s Wait Until Dark. He has worked with various
companies including Youngblood, Pink Banana Theatre Co., and First Stage Theatre
Academy. He would like to thank William and the whole Proof team for this chance to
collaborate!
JENNIFER MARIE BURCHELL (Costume Designer) A paralegal at Murphy Law office,
Jennifer is a proud 45 year veteran of community theater, having appeared as an orphan
in Oliver at the age of 7. She has been seen on stage in many LCT productions and has
made several appearances on The History Channel. She is excited to have been asked
to work on this production team, having previously costumed Pixies, Kings and Magical
Things. She would like to thank her amazing daughter, Katya Carter, for her love and
support, and LCT for the opportunity to be part of the magic again.

SUSAN TOMASHEK (Props Master) This is Sue’s second opportunity to do props at LCT.
She would like to dedicate her contribution to this play to all who are battling mental
health issues, either for themselves or for a loved one, and especially to those without
access to some type of support.

p. 22

Production Staff Biographies

PETER SUARDI (Technical Director) has been working in technical theater since 2004
and and previously worked for The Utah Shakespeare Festival (Scenery Materials
Coordinator), Great River Shakespeare Festival (Asst. Technical Director/Company
Manager), University of Nevada Las Vegas (Master Carpenter), and Viterbo University
(Scene Shop Foreman). Most importantly, to his son, Michael,“If you find this in a
shoebox one day, know that you mean the world to me and I love you.”
KATELYN KLIEVE (Stage Manager) is honored to be back at LCT for Proof.  This is her
3rd production backstage with LCT. She previously served as Assistant Stage Manager
and Props Master for A Streetcar Named Desire and Stage Manager for LCT’s Penguin
Project. When she isn’t at the theatre she can be found teaching in her classroom at
Longfellow Middle School. Katelyn would like to thank her family and friends for their
constant love and support, and this incredibly talented cast and production team for a
great show.

What is a Hearing Loop?

Hearing Loops allow people who wear
hearing aids to directly receive the
sound from the theatre’s sound system
in their own hearing aids, much like
Wi-Fi for laptops. If you wear hearing
instruments, and they have a wireless
receiver called a T-coil or Telecoil built-
in, you will benefit from the hearing
loop in our theatre. The T-coil program
is accessed by pushing a button on
your hearing aid. This T-coil setting
has to be activated before use. Please
consult your audiologist to ensure your
t-coils are properly adjusted.

If you do not have a T-coil equipped
hearing instrument, please feel free
to stop by the box office to pick up a
hearing assist device.
