Director’s Note

June 17–26, 2011
LCT’s 47th season – 314th production

Welcome to the magical world of James and his
giant peach! I am thrilled to present this delightful
play on the 50th anniversary of Roald Dahl’s classic
children’s book. The cast, crew, and production
team have worked hard to create a show that
captures the heart of the book while bringing a
sense of wonder and enchantment that you only
find in live theatre.

Theatre is a collaborative art, and this production
simply would not exist without the talents of the
LCT staff and so many volunteers. From our
exceptionally gifted actors to our razor-sharp crew
members and their devoted families, I am truly
amazed by the energy and creativity they bring to
rehearsal every day. The hours of hard work have
paid off. I thank you all. It has been a pleasure, and
I am so proud of “Team Peach.” Well done!
