GRAYSON THE GIRAFFE TAKES ON POLLUTION

“Hey guys! So what
do you want to do
today?” Grayson
asks, excited to see
his friends.

“I know! Let’s go play
in the water hole!”
Erin the elephant
replies.

“Yeah! That sounds
like fun! Let’s go!”

“Oh no Grayson!
What’s wrong with
our water?” Erin
asked, a sad look on
his face.

“Our water is a gross
color now…” Jess the
Jerboa said.

“It looks like
pollution. It’s got
trash in it too.”
Grayson replied.

“Let’s find
somewhere else to
go.” said Grayson.

“Maybe we can go to
my field where I hop
around?” Kayla the
Kangaroo offered.

“Yeah let’s try there
instead.”

“Kayla? What’s
wrong with the
ground?” a sad Jess
asks.

“I think it’s all dried
up and dirty.” Kayla
replies, upset.

“You guys want to go
to my tree? It’s
always pretty up
there!” Grayson said.

“Yeah!” everyone
shouts happily.

“Grayson? What’s
that gray cloud up
there?” Erin asked.

“I’m not sure…”
Grayson said, looking
sad.

“Why do our favorite
play areas look bad
now?” Jess asked.

“Hey Grayson! What
are you little kids up
to today?” Grayson’s
mom, Mrs. G. asked.

“We wanted to go
play but our play
areas are all dirty.”
Kayla said.

“The sky is gray here,
the ground is dirty in
Kayla’s spot, and the
water hole is green
and has trash in it!”
Grayson said.

“Hush now children.
There is an easy way
to fix this problem.
But first, do you
know what the
problem is?” Mrs. G.
asked.

Grayson and his
friends all looked
confused. They did
not know what the
problem was.

“It’s called pollution
kids. And we can fix
it.” Mrs. G. said.

“All we need to do is
clean up the trash
and our problem will
go away!” Mrs. G.
said with a smile on
her face.

“That doesn’t sound
like fun mommy.”
Grayson said.

“Well then let’s make
it fun! When we are
done we can all get
ice cream.”

So as they all went
around to their
favorite places, they
each helped to clean
up the trash.

As they were picking
up the trash, they put
it all in a big pile in a
field.

They went to the
drinking hole,

They went to Kayla’s
field,

And they returned to
Grayson’s tree with
their pile of trash.

They noticed a big
recycling truck in the
field and put their
trash in it. Then it
would go where the
other recycling stuff
goes: the recycling
center.

And now that the
truck is full of
recycling items, it
drives off leaving
Grayson and his
friends trash-free.

Now that the trash is
gone, their homes
were all clean now
and they could all
play around
anywhere they
wanted to while
eating their ice
cream.
