Warehouse Goes Solar

In March 2017, Hawaii Foodbank and REC Solar hosted a
blessing to celebrate the installation of solar energy at the
warehouse in Mapunapuna. The 296.7 kilowatt DC solar
energy system is expected to conserve 463,742 kilowatt
hours of energy, which is equivalent to $41,041 in annual
energy costs. That is enough money to purchase more than
102,000 meals to feed 93 people every day in a year.
