Tuesdays. May 10-31 | 6:00pm-8:00pm
Miller Center Room 102 | Ages 18+
$15/$23 per class or $50/$65 as a series

Urban homesteading is working towards becoming as sustainable as possible
on your land in an urban setting. Witness the circle of life in your own backyard
as chickens provide eggs and manure for compost, the vegetable garden is then
fertilized by that compost, and is then watered by the rain collected by your rain
barrels. Your garden can even provide the seeds for next year’s garden, deepening
the self-contained cycle of providing sustenance for your family on your own land.

This four-part lecture series for adults will demonstrate all of the necessary steps
and supplies you need to make your home and land as self-sustaining as possible.
