Never Let Me Go

In this poster, the boat represents a dividing
line between the beautiful world of Hailsham and
the harsh real world. Kathy is holding the pillow,
indicating that she does not want to leave the old
kind world. Moreover, Kathy's innocence prevents
her from realizing that her beautiful world is a
dystopian world, a world full of deceit. Guardians
do not directly tell about donations that Hailsham
students will encounter in the future. In addition,
guardians are deprived of Hailsham students’ rights
in many aspects, such as they can’t go out to the
outside world, they have limited space for
activities, and they can’t choose their future path
in life. As Miss Lucy said that “You were brought
into this world for a purpose, and your futures, all
of them, have been decided”. Therefore, Never Let
Me Go represents the story about Kathy's past
memories, and she doesn't want them to disappear.
