Erin is a teaching professor, doctoral student and a
Board Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC) who holds her
Master of Science (MS) in Art Therapy Counseling
and a Graduate Certificate in Autism Spectrum
Disorders from Emporia State University in Kansas.
BASIC INFORMATION
Erin is pursuing her doctorate at Drexel University and is faculty
at The Pennsylvania State University and developer/instructor of
AA 120N: Introduction to art therapy. She also holds a Bachelor
of Science in Family and Child Sciences with a minor in
Psychology from The Florida State University. She worked her
way through college as a teacher’s assistant at a Montessori
school and has facilitated art therapy with various populations.
Erin postponed her doctoral studies for several years to focus
on her family and to spend more quality time with her children.
During this time she was inspired to pursue the art therapy
course that she brought to Penn State (Erin did not learn about
the field until she was about to graduate undergrad and wants
students to be introduced to it before she was!).
