OTHERS. THIS CHARACTER CAN
BE LIKENED TO THE FRUIT ON
A TREE THAT HAS GOOD AND
BAD. THEREFORE, THE
CHARACTER MUST BE TRAINED
FROM AN EARLY AGE TO
PRODUCE A GOOD PRODUCT OR
RESULT LATER.

HELPING ACTIVITIES AT HOME.
THIS IS BECAUSE CHILDREN'S
FIRST TEACHERS ARE THEIR
FAMILIES. THIS STATEMENT IS
FURTHER SUPPORTED BY THE
HADITH WHICH MEANS “EVERY
CHILD IS BORN ON NATURE. IT
WAS HIS PARENTS WHO MADE HIM A
JEW, A CHRISTIAN OR A MAGIAN. ”.
THEREFORE, PARENTS ARE THE
MAIN MODELS IN SHAPING THE
CHARACTER OF EACH CHILD.

PROVIDE CHILDREN WITH THEIR

THEIR MODELS FOR BEHAVIORS
AND ROLES, A FOUNDATION OF
VALUES AND BELIEFS, AND
INTELLECTUAL STIMULATION.
SO, NO WONDER HELPING AT HOME
CAN DEVELOP ONE’S CHARACTER
TOWARDS A MORE OPEN MIND AND
BEING ABLE TO THINK
RATIONALLY. FOR EXAMPLE, THE
SITUATION WHEN SPELLED WITH
MY MOTHER. THIS SITUATION
MADE ME FEEL ANNOYING AT
FIRST, BUT WHEN I THINK BACK
TO WHY MY MOTHER WAS
COMPLAINING, THERE MUST BE A
REASON WHICH IS TO DISCIPLINE
ME WHEN DOING A JOB. IN
ADDITION TO BEING ABLE TO
DISCIPLINE ME, I WAS ALSO ABLE
TO ADAPT TO THE LETTER BY
THINKING RATIONALLY WHEN
FACED WITH EXTERNAL
SITUATIONS. NEXT, MY MOTHER’S
SCREAMS MADE ME LOUD AND NOT
EASILY RUSHED WHEN
INTERACTING WITH OUTSIDERS.
FIT INTO AN OPEN-MINDED
CONTEXT WHICH MEANS HAVING
THE ABILITY TO CONSIDER
OTHERS’ PERSPECTIVES AND TRY
TO BE EMPATHETIC TO OTHERS,
EVEN WHEN DISAGREEING WITH
THEM. AS A STRONG ARGUMENT,
THE PROPHET MUHAMMAD WAS A
LEADER WHO WAS OPEN-MINDED
AND FAIR IN MAKING A

WORK AT HOME SOUNDS EASY BUT
THE REALITY IS DIFFICULT AND
THERE ARE A LOT OF ACTIVITIES
TO DO. FOR EXAMPLE,
HOUSEKEEPING ALONE CAN BE
CATEGORIZED INTO SEVERAL
OTHER SMALL TASKS SUCH AS
WASHING WINDOWS, SWEEPING
RUBBISH, DISPOSING OF
RUBBISH, AND SO ON.
THEN, IT IS CLEAR THAT VARIOUS
TASKS NEED TO BE DONE AND
COMPLETED IN A DAY.
THEREFORE, VYGOTSKY [1978 A]
STATES THAT DEVELOPMENT AND
LEARNING ARE ESSENTIALLY
SOCIAL ACTIVITIES. THIS IS
BECAUSE IN GENERAL, THE
NATURE OF SOME PEOPLE IS

INCREASE A LOT AND CAUSE

ME TO ACHIEVE MORE AND
INCREASE PRODUCTIVITY NOT
ONLY AT HOME BUT ALSO IN THE
OUTDOOR ENVIRONMENT. A CASE
IN POINT, I CAN STUDY WHILE
WASHING CLOTHES USING A
MACHINE. THEREFORE, THE
BEST OPPORTUNITIES TO TEACH
POSITIVE CHARACTER ARE
FOUND IN REAL-LIFE
SITUATIONS.
FURTHERMORE, LEARNING HAS
BEEN DESCRIBED AS A CYCLICAL
PROCESS THAT CONTINUES
THROUGHOUT LIFE. ISLAM
ITSELF HAS EMPHASIZED THAT
KNOWLEDGE IS VERY IMPORTANT
AND IS VERY DEMANDING OF ITS
PEOPLE TO SEEK KNOWLEDGE.
THIS KNOWLEDGE IS NOT
NECESSARILY IN THE FIELD OF
RELIGION ONLY BUT ALSO
REQUIRED TO LEARN ABOUT
LIFE.
IN SURAT AL-BAQARAH [2]: 269,
ALLAH SWT SAYS: "ALLAH
BESTOWS AL HIKMAH (DEEP
UNDERSTANDING OF THE QUR'AN
AND THE SUNNAH) TO WHOM HE
WILLS. AND WHOEVER IS
ENDOWED WITH WISDOM, HE HAS
INDEED BEEN ENDOWED WITH
MANY BOUNTIES. AND ONLY
THOSE WHO ARE PRUDENT CAN
LEARN A LESSON (FROM THE WORD
OF GOD). "THIS VERSE REVEALS
THAT THE KNOWLEDGEABLE WILL
BE GIVEN GOODNESS IN THIS
WORLD AND THE HEREAFTER.

NOTICE A NEW CONCEPT OR

MANAGED TO BE A HAPPY

IN CONCLUSION, MORALITY IS A
MATTER DIRECTLY RELATED TO
HUMAN DAILY LIFE. THEREFORE, IT
IS NOT SURPRISING THAT HELPING
AT HOME PLAYS A VERY IMPORTANT
ROLE IN DEVELOPING ONE’S
MORALS AS WELL AS CHARACTER.
THIS IS BECAUSE THE REAL
SUCCESS OF HUMAN LIFE CAN BE
SEEN FROM THE LEVEL OF MORAL
QUALITY OR GOOD CHARACTER
PRACTICED IN HIS DAILY LIFE.
CONSEQUENTLY, AT HOME, I WAS
ABLE TO BUILD MY CHARACTER AS
AN OPEN-MINDED, MULTITASKING,
AND MATURE INDIVIDUAL.
