named as Director of Technology and
Curricular Innovation for the Florence
Unified School District pending board
approval.
Mr. Trakas brings a wealth of knowledge
and experience to the position. He has
been with the Florence Unified School
District for 13 years, 2 years as a teacher
and the last 11 years as an Educational
Technology Specialist. Mr. Trakas has a
Master’s degree in Curriculum and In-
struction – Technology from Grand Can-
yon University and he is currently the
President of the Arizona Technology in
Education Association (AzTEA).

pointed to the SpringBoard National Fac-
ulty. SpringBoard is a sixth through twelfth
grade English Language Arts resource used
