Under the direction of Tony Ravinsky, the Cornwall Central High
School School Music Department and Drama Club presented
Disney’s, “Beauty and the Beast,” this past spring.
“I can’t believe the growth of this family over a short four months,”
Ravinsky explained. “When a director starts to work on any
production, he has a vision of what could be. Seeing that vision
come to life through the tireless work of this dedicated and talented
staff, cast, and crew is very humbling. Early on someone would ask,
‘How is this going to happen?’ and my answer was always, ‘Disney
Magic, let’s move on.’ Since that time, however, the answer has
become “CCHS Drama Magic!’ I could not be prouder of all the
100 plus student members involved. I highly support all aspects of
educational theater; from our student stage crew, carpenters, artists,
and technicians, to the pit orchestra and cast. These special people
are the reasons I do what I do, and they are the ones who created
it all.”
This year’s performances were dedicated to the district’s four
retiring music teachers; Vic Esposito, Steve Kessler, Lisa Moriarty,
and Karen Snider.

“It has always been a bit of a challenge
to be able to survive off of the main
drag,” Clearwater said. “We are still
a working farm and growing things in
the dirt.” But, the family continues to
expand into other areas to offer their
customers a number of products and
services. The integrity of the farm will
always be maintained while finding
their place in the middle of our cur-
rently fast paced and tech savvy society.

As each chapter unfolds revealing the
changed life on the farm, it may ap-
pear like seamless transition, and while
Great Grandma Phoebe would notice
the remarkable changes and modern-
ization including the requirement to
list ingredients and weights on baked
goods, staying knowledgeable about
tax laws and restrictions for agricul-
tural land and interacting with various
insurance and government agencies,
she would surely be proud of everyone
at Jones Farms and Clearwater Shops
for the progress they have made while
keeping everything very traditional.
