Dear Parents and Carers,

As we enter the 7th week since we saw you or your
child, we hope you are all safe and well.

Elderbank has opened this week as an Emergency
Childcare Hub for families granted places due to
parents and carers being critical key workers. The
Hub will be staffed on a set rota with staff from the
Greenwood Cluster and we would encourage children
from Elderbank attending Castlepark to transfer to
Elderbank, in a similar way to the other pupils from
the Greenwood Cluster Schools. This will assist in
keeping numbers at the safest levels in both Hubs.

There has been a real team effort from the Cluster
Head Teachers and our Depute Heads at Elderbank
to ensure we can encourage
effective social distancing. We
have introduced clear and

informative signage to assist our young people.

Mrs Bigham has been enjoying receiving pictures of
the fun activities and family time children have been
having and she has shared these on the school
website blog. Please continue to share these with her
by emailing [email protected]

This is a final plea for any family having difficulty
with technology or paying for internet access to text
your child’s name and ICT to the Management Team
on 07387753986 and someone will call you to discuss
how we can help.

Keeping in Contact

We are keen to make sure you and your children are
safe and well. We have always encouraged you to
focus on family wellbeing and we know learning takes
many forms, which include, cooking, gardening and
playing games. It would be incredibly helpful if your
child could simply like the message from staff when
they receive it, so that we know you have it and it is
your choice what you complete.
