Annual Appeal - Colonial Schools

Community First Solutions Annual Appeal - Colonial Schools

At Community First Solutions, we have seen firsthand the difference one
person can make. But, what about when that one person unites with
many? The collective impact can change an entire community.

One hundred years ago, this not-for-profit began when an innovative
woman gifted her house to meet the needs of older adults, and a group
of philanthropists came together to make their vision a reality. Today, the
difference we make is magnified because as a group of not-for-profits,
united under one organization, we pool resources and expertise to make a
collective impact on healthcare, wellness, older adult housing, behavioral
health, pharmaceutical services and even early childhood education.

We deliver Meals on Wheels and provide safe transportation, so that
older adults may take pride in their independence. As people navigate the
healthcare system, we provide continuity of care to help them every step
of the way. We support individuals in crisis, especially those overcoming
addictions. We deliver affordable prescriptions from one of the nation’s
first not-for-profit pharmacies, while inspiring preschool children to
change their world by serving others.

Through the past century, lives have been impacted - not because of
one - but because many individuals imagined what a difference they
could make if they worked together to better their community.

School makes me happy. I
love my teachers and playing
with my friends. I learn things
like sharing. I love school.

Looking back, I realize how
much my preschool experience
shaped me. I care about my
community. I am a leader,
because from the beginning,
I learned to believe in myself
and the importance of caring for
others.

TOGETHER WE MAKE A

Respect is asking “Please may I have the glue,” and remembering to say,
“Thank you for sharing.”

Compassion is meticulously choosing just the right cheerful colors for a
card to brighten a grandfriend’s room.

Imagination is becoming a pilgrim or American Indian to celebrate working
together, sharing and thankfulness.

Initiative is bringing hats and gloves to school to give to the less fortunate,
so that kids can know that they have the ability to make a difference in the
lives of others.

Some life skills you can’t learn from a textbook. At Colonial Schools, your
children and grandchildren receive a strong academic foundation - but
more importantly - they learn what it means to work together to make a
difference in their community.

Colonial Schools is part of a greater network of not-for-profits united under
Community First Solutions. Your family, combined with the rest of Colonial
Schools’ students and alumni, has an opportunity to make a collective
impact by supporting the school you love. Your support ensures that we
can keep tuition affordable for families, our classrooms have the latest
technologies, and that more families have access to an excellent early
education through scholarship programs.

Our reach is great, but with you, it can be even greater.

COLLECTIVE IMPACT SUPPORTER,

We know that Colonial Schools is a special place for your family. The
education that your child receives at Colonial Schools sets them up for
future success in life— both in and outside the classroom. Our curriculum
helps them discover their strengths and encourages empathy through
cultivating meaningful relationships with grandfriends.

Help us continue a tradition of excellence, establishing a bright future
for our children. Be part of our collective impact by donating today.

President & Chief Executive Officer Community Relations Manager

Jack is always excited to go
to school. He is learning so
much about caring for others,
especially for his classmates
and his grandfriends. As an
educator, it’s inspiring to see
others just as passionate about
him as I am.
