Introduction

Our story began in 2016. We started up as a food manufacturer and wholesaler in
Malaysia. Our main office locates at SS2 in Petaling Jaya (PJ) and factory situated
at Kepong, Kuala Lumpur.(KL)
Back then our market focus in PJ and KL areas and now we had expanded it over
Malaysia and even includes oversea country like Hong Kong, China, Vietnam and
Singapore.

Our History

2016 Our Start

In 2013, a trip in Japan made Kelvin Yap (CEO of Taiyo) who once taste the frozen
mochi realized it is such a popular dessert among the Japanese. The perfect match
of traditional soft and chewy skin mochi with people most time favorite- ice cream,
creating a new and exciting taste and experience ever.
He decided to bring this experience back to Malaysia to let all Malaysian get the thrill
as he was in Japan, by maximize the authentic satisfaction you could get from this
dessert.
He established Taiyo Food Enterprise and introduced Akeno Premium Mochi to the
market in 2016.

2017 Our Growth

2018 Akeno Premium Mochi expanded to 6 flavours with 2 new flavours (Mango Peach and
2020 Berries) to bring some freshness to our consumers.

Today Our Oversea Expansion

We started export to country oversea.

Online Present

We started accepting direct purchase from end consumer near Petaling Jaya and
Kuala Lumpur areas through individual or group shipping sales.

Our Frozen Mochi

1) It is recommended to defrost the mochi 15 minutes before serving for best taste.
2) It tastes a little chewy, a little squishy, soft and creamy yet light filling.
3) It is made up by real fresh fruits and purees, without any artificial flavouring.
4) Egg free but contains dairy.
5) It is HALAL certified.
6) It must be stored -18°Celsius.
7) Shelf life of keep frozen can up to 12 months, refrigerated only for 2- 7 days.

About the Delivery:

Bulk order to areas near Petaling Jaya-
Products will be packed and sent in carton box.
Bulk order to other areas-
Products will be kept in polystyrene foam box for cold storage. Cold truck service
from ICCL (Integrated Cold Chain Logistics) will be used for long distance delivery.
Personal order (Only available for areas near Petaling Jaya & Kuala Lumpur)-
We are using service from Mr Speedy and Lalamove riders to deliver our products.
Products will be packed in plastic carry bag and kept in rider’s cooler bag while
being delivered within 10-20 minutes to your doorstep. We encourage group
shipping by collecting orders from same or nearby areas to benefits customers
with lower shipping fees.
