How do I get CrisisGo?

On your cell phone, please go to your app store and search for CrisisGo. Once you
locate the program, just download it.

If you see a RED Dot/Circle above the CrisisGo logo it means
that updates to sections of the app are required and ready for
download. CrisisGo updates everyday and to keep current with
the student rosters, checklist and contacts please update when
you see the red dot.

To update the section of CrisisGo tap the icon with the red dot
and then you will see a tan bar with “Please update the latest
data” and a cloud with an arrow pointing down. Tap the cloud to
start the download.

Once you have updated all the required sections your CrisisGo and ready for
use. Lets take a look at the many different sections and uses of the application.

This is your
“HOME SCREEN”

Three rows of icons.

First Row:
ALERT: This is where every Long Branch Pub-
lic School employee has the ability, authority to
activate a number of different emergency/crisis
situations.

Checklist: Is the area of the application where
you can review each of the emergency/crisis
alerts and what is required to do step by step
once the alert is activated.

Rosters: This section of the application con-
tains all the students of the district which are
part of our Genesis student data system. Cri-
sisGo updates automatically every weekday
morning with Genesis and all individual users
will see a red dot above the roster icon mean-
ing new data is ready to download. If you hold
your finger over a student’s name, their emer-
gency contact information will appear.

Second Row:
Maps: this is where each individual school has
its map/floor plan posted. We are in the
process of making the maps more user friendly
and also including the defibrillator locations.

Contacts: Every employee of the district is
listed. You can search by building, title, or
name. In this section on the bottom of the
screen you will see Internal (all employees)
and external.

Light: is a Flashlight

Third Row:
Siren: This is where you can sample what the
siren sounds like when an alert is activated.

Profile: contains the individual users informa-
tion.

type of alarm/crisis you wish to
activate.

The message icon on the botton left of the home screen is for Non-
Emergency Communication or once an alert has been activated you
can have conversations using this section of the application.

Once you Tap the Alert icon and it opens, you will be asked which Alert you
want to send. The top four listed are the most important. Tap the arrow on the
right of the alert you wish to activate.

Now that you have selected the alert you wish
to activate, the next step is to select where you
wish to send it.

Now that you have selected a location/school where you are going to send
the alert, you also have the ability to add additional information in at the bot-
tom of the screen. You can type it or use the voice feature function on your
cell phone.
If you see a suspicious person, here is where you can put the description of
the individual.
When your ready to distribute this alert tap the top right of the screen, where
it says “SEND” in blue.
A screen will appear asking if you are sure, so you don’t send by mistake. If
your are positive you want to send, tap of.

A loud siren will sound once an alert is activated. Some of the alerts come
with voice commands; example Hard Lockdown and the siren.
Staff will have three choices on their phone: Cancel, Checklist, Check.
PLEASE select CHECKLIST. On the right is what will appear. It will give
you step-by-step details on what to do.
Notice the square box on the right of the Checklist screen. Those boxes
allow the users to type in addition information at that section.

On the bottom right of the Checklist screen is a tab that reads
“Communication” this is to remind all staff that the Long Branch
Public Schools has a media procedure in place and that the only

person authorized to speak on behalf of the district is the
Superintendent of Schools or whoever he appoints.

From the home screen, tap the top right “Roster” icon. This is where you will
find all the student data.

Once “Roster” is open, you are required to select a
school

Now that a school has been se-
lected, please select a teacher.

than one class, pick a class:

In the Map section of CrisisGo select a school and if
more than one floor is listed, just pick the level your

When you open “Contacts” pick a location/school then you can search by job tile (or use the
search bar and type in the first name)

When you find the person you are looking for and open on their name you will find all their contact

The “Message” section of CrisisGo has several key features. One is where
administrators in each school can send out non-emergency text messages
to the staff. However, this area can also be used during an emergency to
communicate with the staff.

Message Section
Individual schools will see two tabs with their names:
Example: Lenna W. Conrow Staff (purple arrow on the left) and

Little Waves News (green arrow on the left)

“Staff” is where administrators and staff at that location can text back and
forth.

“News” is where you will be able to have parents of your students sign-up
and receive messages from your school.

Administrators can also establish text groups in the “Message” section. The
example on the left with the yellow arrow is the LBHS Security Team.

When you open the “Staff” section of the Message icon you will notice
several icons on the bottom of the screen.

ALERT: This is just like the alert button on the home screen. You can acti-
vate an alert from the message center. (red arrow on the right)

PANIC: Very important button for staff, it activates the panic alarm for your
administrator when you need help or a crisis has developed. (yellow
arrow on the right)

REPORT: This is where staff members can submit a variety of reports.
(blue arrow on the right)

PANIC BUTTON

During an isolated incident, you have the ability to send a direct request for
help to your safety team without alerting the entire school. In this feature you

have the ability to record video or send a photo.





From the “Message” section of the application after you selected a school
“Staff” icon you have the Alert, Panic and REPORT icons on the bottom of
the screen.
The REPORT icon is where you can choose from a variety of different re-
ports to file.

Once open tap the top right “Create”
