PREFACE
Praise be to the compiler of the prayer of Allah SWT for His mercy and gift so
that he can implementfieldwork practices (PKL) and complete thepreparation of
reports on the results of pkl can run in accordance with the planned program. The
compilationof this report is carried out in accordance with the work that is being
studied in the Industry where the PKL is located,
On this occasion, the compiler would like to thank all parties who have
assisted in theimplementation of fieldwork practices and assisted in the preparation
of this report to:
1. Mrs. Sry Windiarti, S.Pd, M.Pd, as the Head of SMK Negeri Nusawungu.
2. Mr. Sulasdi S.Pd as the public relations officer of DU / DI SMK Negeri
Nusawungu.
3. Mr. Imam Sawono, as the head of the Cilacap Motor Semar Workshop
4. Mr. Kukuh Adhi Rumekso, S.Pd as the school supervisor.
5. Mr. Nano Setiana S.Pd as the head of the Expertise Competence of Teknik

The compiler realizes that this report is far from perfect, therefore constructive
criticism and suggestions for the improvement and perfection of this report are
desirable. Finally, hopefully this report can be useful for readers in broadening their

ABSTRACT
The cooling system in a vehicle engine is a system that functions to maintain the
temperature of the mesi in ideal conditions.the engine in combustion in the
combustion process carries out the combustion process to produce energy and
with the engine mechanism is converted into motion power. The cooling principle
releases engine heat into the air, the type directly released into the air is called air
conditioning (water coouning) intermediate burner type called coolant
The cooling water cycle starts from the radiator then the water is pressed by the
water pump and driven by the crankshaft through the V-belt. Some types of cooling
systems:
-water cooling system (natural), this type utilizes waterholes to absorb heat in the
engine. This type is commonly found in small machines such as machine water
pumps
-The air conditioning system, as in this type of motor uses a stream of air passing
through the engine to transfer heat. Jeni aini is more suitable for use in open
engines such as motor engines
-The radiator cooling system uses the help of a radiator to move the engine heat.
This type is used on all types of cars that have a closed engine
