Welcome to the winter edition

As the year draws to an end, it’s a good chance to reflect on our
achievements and developments during 2018. Amongst many other
things, we have moved office, changed our name, developed a new
three-year strategy, started forming a new customer partnership board,
and importantly we’ll be handing the keys over for new homes to
over 180 new customers in 2018/19, while continuing to invest in our
existing properties. Our aim is keep investing in existing homes whilst
doing as much as we can to help solve the housing crisis locally by
providing 1,100 new affordable homes over the next five years.

Keep your home safe and secure

With the earlier dark nights, Thames Valley Police has issued crime prevention advice, helping
customers to protect their homes against burglary this winter.

Inspector Howard Rose, from the Bracknell Neighbourhood team, said: “By taking a proactive
approach, there are a number of practical steps that residents can take to reduce the risk of becoming
a victim and helping to build resilience within our community by helping to protect others:

Free hoarding support

Free sessions to help people who hoard or family and friends affected by
hoarding behaviour are running throughout 2019. The support group can help to
deal with factors that contribute to hoarding and provide tips, techniques and
support networks to reduce hoarding. The support group meetings run every
second Wednesday each month from 7pm to 9pm at Jennett’s Park Community
Centre, RG12 8EB. It’s free to attend.

One of our support group attendees is benefitting from the sessions and said:

“The support group for hoarders has helped me start to de-clutter,
