A Community Treasure
THE PPWC CLUBHOUSE

The Pacific Palisades Woman’s Club (PPWC) opened the clubhouse doors in
1951 and it has served the needs of the community for the past 66 years. The
PPWC has also provided over one million dollars in Grant Awards to fifty-plus
local non-profit, charitable or service organizations.

As stewards of this community treasure, the members of PPWC are excited with
the renovations of the building over the past couple of years. In 2014, the building
was re-roofed and the bathrooms were upgraded and reconfigured and are ADA
compliant. At the end of 2016, we finished the renovations of the Main Hall and
lobby area, making both rooms more inviting, comfortable and functional to our
members, renters and the community. By updating and modernizing these rooms,
the Clubhouse will continue to be the gathering place of the community for
decades to come.

Currently the Clubhouse is “home” to more than 100 different community
events or meetings, including our much-anticipated yearly 90th Birthday Party in
celebration of our nonagenarians, a yearly flu clinic, tai chi, yoga and senior
exercise classes plus other community services. Local community organizations,
including our public schools, local clubs, meditation and self-help groups gather
in our treasured building for their daily, monthly or yearly events and meetings.
We average over 1,000 visitors weekly.

The monies from our yearly Home Tour enable us to continue renovating our
historic building so we can serve the community more successfully as well as fund
our Grant Awards to local non-profit organizations.

Thank you for supporting our Home Tour so we can continue our philanthropic
services to the Pacific Palisades community.

10. The PPWC has served the community for the past 92 years, and is the oldest
and largest non-profit in the Pacific Palisades.

9. At the Grant Giveaway, the most magical night of the year in the Palisades,
the PPWC gives away tens of thousands of dollars to the public and private
schools and dozens of other charitable organizations.

8. The Annual Holiday Home Tour and Boutique, our primary fundraising event,
now in its 32nd year, is a wonderful day of design, shopping, and food trucks
with live entertainment.

7. The PPWC sponsors the best party of the year, the 90th Birthday Party, at which
our local residents age 90 and older are celebrated with a special luncheon in
their honor.

6. Members connect with fellow members to make long lasting and dear
friendships. Our membership is a multi-generational cross section of woman
from all walks of life including community leaders, business representatives,
educators, young singles, to grandmothers and everyone in between.

5. Members enjoy a wide variety of social and cultural events including Ladies
Day & Nights Outs, museum tours, special speaker events, book club and more.

4. The PPWC sponsors numerous philanthropic and community events: 90th
Birthday Party, Halloween Window Painting Contest, Free Influenza
Vaccination Clinic for Seniors, Grant Giveaway, plus the PPWC Home Tour.

3. The PPWC has a wonderful Clubhouse facility at which our general membership
meetings, unique programing and events, civic organization meetings and
community celebrations take place.

Membership in the PPWC is a rewarding experience. Members connect through
Friendship, Fun and Philanthropy! Since 1925, the members of the PPWC are
united in the following ways:

1. We are committed to the philanthropic efforts that make a difference in our
community.

2. Members connect with fellow members to make long standing dear friendships.
Our membership is a multi-generational cross section of the community that ranges
in ages from 30-99, and come from all walks of life to include everyone from
community leaders, business representatives, educators, young singles to grand-
mothers and everyone in between.

3. The PPWC has sponsored numerous annual community events that include
the popular 90th Birthday Party, Free Influenza Vaccination Clinic for Seniors,
the Pacific Palisades Home Tour, Halloween Window Painting Contest, Grant
Giveaway Night, and many other community programs.

4. Additional fundraising events include an Annual Fashion Show, Murder
Mystery Dinner, Wine Tasting and the popular Rummage Sale.

Through the club’s diverse programing, philanthropic efforts and community
outreach, the members make a difference, have fun, create new vibrant friendships,
