Tim Berners-Lee is a British computer scientist. He was born in London, and his parents were
early computer scientists, working on one of the earliest computers. Tim Berners-Lee invented

why we are able to design websites today. As of 2014, 148,500 people work as a Web Developer
in America. Across the world, over a billion websites were made by Web Developers in other
countries, including the ones in America.

With all the Web Developers in America and around the world, the average amount of websites
launched is about 200-400 every minute. W eb developers build and shape a visitor’s experience
on a website. They do this through the creation of page layouts, website styling, and page
features. Web developers work closely with project managers and designers so that the websites
reaches the expected budget, scope, and design. You can find Web Development related jobs all
around th e w orld, but mostly in regions where there is a lot of technology and a lot of businesses.
These regions provide more web users and people that surf the web.
Duties of this career
A Web Developer’s main job or duty is designing, coding, and modifying websites from
layouts to functions. They’re specific duty is to c reate website layout/user interfaces by
using standard CSS/HTML practices. Web Developers can work as long as they want, or
need. They usually work long hours for at least 1 to 2 years. This also includes, working
full-time, or part-time.
Qualifications for a Web Developer
To be a Web developer, there are a few requirements. Gender doesn’t matter, you can be
male or female. A bachelor’s degree is recommended, but an associate’s degree is
required. A bachelor’s degree can provide a practical education in elements such as
visual communication, digital arts and design, multimedia production, and so on.
