Central Processing Unit
● An electronic circuitry that carries out
instructions of a computer program.
Data
● Informations that’s stored in or used

● A computer that provides data to
other computers
LAN
● A group of computers and associated
devices that shares communications
line or wireless link to a server.
Broadband
● Wide data transmission which
transports multiple signal and traffic
types.
Ethernet
● An cable that gives internet access
from a network.
Modern
● A device or program that enables a
computer to transmit data over.
Cable
● A system that transmit sets of tv
shows rather than broadcast signal.
Internet Service Provider
● A company that provides internet.
Topology
● The arrangement of a network,
including its nodes and connecting
lines.
WAN
● Two or more local-area networks
(LANs).
Hub
● Devices used to connect segments of a
LAN.
Packet
● A piece of message transmitted over a
packet-switching network.
Switch
● A computer networking device that
connects devices together.
Star
● A topology where each individual
piece of network is attached to a
central node.
Bus
● A topology in which nodes are directly
connected to a common linear half
duplex link.
PAN
● A computer network used for data
transmission.
MAN
● A computer network that
interconnects users with computer
resources in a region larger than that
covered by even a LAN.
