Blue Planet Aquarium
If you’re aged 8 – 15, like sharks and are good at
swimming , this is the place for you. I always swimming
on Saturdays, but this weekend I’m not going to the
sports centre. After a diving lesson at the aquarium ,
I’m going swimming with real sharks! The sharks aren’t
very big and they aren’t dangerous. But your friends
won’t know that! Visiting the aquarium is quite
expensive, but it’s a good idea for a birthday present.

Unicorns are magical animals from legends,

but this theme park isn’t very magical. The

trip!

This isn’t like swings you find in children’s

Read the text below and answer questions 25 - 34.

My best friend

Friends are important to us. We do not need too many friends but a
few great friends makes a huge difference in our lives. I have such a good
friend in my life. Her name is Lily and we go to the same school. Although we
are the same age, we do not learn in the same class. Her class is one floor
below mine because we have different interests in studies. I love science and
she loves history.

Lily has a good sense of humour. She always makes me smile when I am
down. She sometimes makes jokes that I can laugh so hard my stomach hurts.
She is the most hardworking person I know and she is never selfish in sharing
what she knows. Her knowledge in world history is amazing. She dreams to
become a history journalist one day.

Lily and I live in the same neighbourhood. Every morning, we take the
school bus together to go to school. Sometimes, my mother would make two
packed meals to give one to Lily. We would eat together during the school
break. I can eat a lot. So when Lily cannot finish her meal I would be the first to
take her food. She always jokes that I might become a teddy bear if I keep
eating so much.

Another reason Lily and I become so close is because we share the
same love for netball. We both play for the school netball team and we train
three times a week after school. Lily is recently chosen as the team captain.
Coach likes that she is a fair person. One time I was late for training, she made
me run five rounds around the court as punishment even though we are close
friends. Besides, she trains hard and always communicate with us during
games.

I am grateful because I have a good friend. Lily has been like a sister to
me. I cannot imagine my life without her.

My school had a new volleyball coach and I attended their training

recently. On my first day of training, our coach talked about the sport and its

rules. We were divided into two teams. 35 Between us, there was a

net about a few metres high. Each team tried to score points by trying to get the
ball to touch the floor in the opponents’ court. We played hard but it was obvious

we needed more training.

I enjoyed the first day of training and it was great working out with other

I have talked to my parents about this and they encourage me to go for it.
