9 Cardinal Tips: Save Money and Declutter
1. Don’t treat your home like a storage unit.
Keeping something because you might need it someday is like paying mortgage to a storage company—and it comes at the expense of living
in an empty, breathable space.
2. Realize that what you keep costs you a lot. Stop paying storage fees.
Many times, you’re tempted to hang on to things because you feel like it’s a waste of money if you should ever have to buy them again. But
there’s a cost to keeping something.
3. Give yourself permission to buy again.
Since the thought of having to part with money down the road is painful, you may choose to keep many things that you may not otherwise.
But the simple but powerful conscious act of giving yourself permission to buy again down the road (with the knowledge that you’re
gaining so much now by letting go) will help you get so many more things out of your home.
4. Touch it once.
So much clutter comes from holding on to things that need action. Keeping the “touch it once” principle at the forefront of your mind
will help you build smart practices. For example, standing by the recycling bin with your handful of mail as you sort it and signing those
permission slips as soon as they come. This cuts down drastically on paper clutter, take-it-upstairs clutter, and more.
5. Make money off of your clutter by selling or donating things.
6. Decluttering can help you become more aware of your spending habits, and help you make more intentional choices.
7. Decluttering shows you what you already own, so you can use what you have.
8. Decluttering can help you pay your bills on time and pay less late fees, because they are not lost in clutter.
9. Ask yourself if you’d buy it now?
Asking yourself, “If I were shopping now, would I buy this?” this is so useful. It will help you select your collection of things down to
only things that
serve purpose in your life.

This was a partnering with Knightdale- Rise Against Hunger
Wake Forest Education Foundation, Delta
Academy, Delta GEMS and EMBODI.
We packed over 5,000 meals on yesterday
which we contributed to stamping out
hunger and having a global impact. The
rain and the wind did not stop our 18
committed sorors who paddled through to
show up in-person. Thanks to the KWFEF
for providing refreshments and drinks.
We raised officially as of yesterday
$1,880 with additional matching funds
forthcoming from Soror Terry
Upchurch’s company which will bring our
total to $2,027.61. The sorors had a lot of
fun and friendly competition and a PUSH

from the peanut galleries was hilarious.

There was also the virtual component this
year which our youth programs could
participate in. Each youth was given a
RAH meal package bag and the Site
Director Darron went over what RAH
was all about and discussed how to prepare
the meal package. Jason from RAH
hosted a Kahoot online trivia game which
one of our Delta Academy youth came in
first. UNTIL the pop culture questions
came up. Delta Academy youth was the
winner received a RAH red hat and will
have bragging rights next year. At the end
there was a question and answer segment.
Each youth attendee will receive one hour

Sorors,
Please see the primary election information below from the North Carolina State Board of Elections. Share with your
networks.
2022 Statewide Primary
During this election, voters can choose which candidates they prefer to be on the general election ballot in November. The
purpose of a primary is to narrow the field of candidates for the general election.
Races on the ballot include:
The U.S. Senate and House of Representatives.
The N.C. General Assembly.
The N.C. Supreme Court and Court of Appeals.
Additionally, many voters will find municipal contests on their ballot due to rescheduled municipal elections. This applies to
voters in municipalities that delayed their 2021 elections to finalize new electoral districts. This also applies to voters who
live in cities and towns that conduct their elections during even-numbered years.
Who Can Vote in the Primary?
Registered voters across the state can vote in the primary. However, voters affiliated with any political party will be given a
ballot of candidates for their party. Unaffiliated voters may choose the ballot of candidates for any party primary.
How Winners are Determined
Each candidate that wins in each contest on their party’s ballot will become a nominee. The nominee will appear on the ballot
in the general election contest. To become the party’s nominee, the candidate must win by at least 30% of the vote plus one.
Dates and Deadlines
The civilian voter registration deadline is 25 days before Election Day. Find out how to register.

"LOVE"
Romans 13:8-10
“7 Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom
tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom
fear; honour to whom honour.
8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he
that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.
9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt
not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false
witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other
commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying,
namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love
is the fulfilling of the law.”
Love in a way that you feel it deep down in your soul.
Love yourself unconditionally as it will allow you to
love others unconditionally. Love in a way that you have
no time for regret, worry, fear or drama.
