The world has changed and with it the demands of Executive
business leaders across the globe. The data centre sector Leadership Education
is more exposed than most to the volatility and technical
advancement associated with digital infrastructure.
Leaders in this sector must be technically and
commercially astute. They must have the capacity to
traverse complexity and ambiguity whilst delivering on
organisational strategy. Data centre leaders are charged
with reimagining how the future of digital infrastructure
will deliver on commercial, community and environmental
expectations.
These leadership capabilities are built on learning from
past industrial ages and re-envisioned for the ‘second
machine age’. Harnessing insight from key players and
organisations within the data centre sector itself and the
academic insight of the CNet Training team, the Executive
Leadership Education suite of programs delivers
contemporary, Master of Business Administration (MBA)
style learning with the convenience of short executive
sessions.
The CNet Training Executive Leadership Education
Programs meld industry expertise with academic rigor
providing senior data centre leaders with insight and the
capability to meet current and future demands of a sector
at the frontier of the fourth industrial revolution.

8

Leadership

The forth industrial revolution demands different capabilities of leaders
than in the past. As such the evolution of leadership is scrutinised,
compared, and contrasted with emerging leadership paradigms of the
current global business landscape. Technology, the changing nature
of organisations, shifting attitudes to work and changing capabilities of
leaders are examined in context.

Finance

All leaders must have the capacity to engage confidently with matters
of corporate finance. Examining business planning, budgeting and
risk analysis is central to a leader’s role as is decision making and the
capacity to critique and enact M&A activity within the business.

Strategic Human Resources Management

The demands of contemporary workforces are influenced by rapidly
changing competency profiles and the very nature of work. Leaders must
understand how workforces are blending with digital ‘workers’ to deliver
more productive, effective and engaged outcomes for organisations and
the people in them.

Strategic Leadership in Context

This capstone program scrutinises and critiques current and emerging
leadership topics within the dynamic context of the data centre sector.
It examines contemporary issues such as inclusion, corporate social
responsibility, automation and artificial intelligence as they apply to
organisational structure, corporate intent and leadership.
