Job Description
Provide efficient solutions to the development of processes and products,
ranging from small component designs to extremely large plant,
machinery or vehicles.
Work Environment
They hold over 243,000 jobs in a wide range of industries, such as
manufacturing industries, research and development, the federal
government, and engineering services.
They usually work in offices, but sometimes need to visit worksites to solve
equipment- related issues.
Job Duties
Analyze problems to see how mechanical and thermal devices might help
solve the problem
Design or redesign mechanical and thermal devices using analysis and
computer-aided design
Improve and test prototypes they design
Examine the test results and change the design as needed
Supervise the manufacturing process for the device
Requirements
Have at least a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
Have professional engineering license

Conclusion
The career I choose to do after high school is mechanical engineering. I
have to obtain a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering first. I will
do that by going to Georgia Southern under the major mechanical
engineering. After obtaining that degree, I want to land a job at Google
or either Apple. Once I stay working for one of those companies for a
while, I want to potentially own a company that can be as big as those
one day.
