Why choose Catholic Memorial? See what Catholic Memorial High School has to offer for the 2017-2018 school year.

Our History

Catholic Memorial High School was founded by the determined parishioners of
St. Joseph Parish who in the early 1920’s began raising funds for a future high school.
Their goal of providing a high quality Catholic education for the area’s youth remained
strong and unwavering. Not even the Great Depression where livelihoods were
threatened and businesses failed could shake the determination of this dedicated
group. This hope became a reality in 1949 when CMH opened its doors as a parochial
high school for St. Joseph Parish. The school was named in gratitude as a memorial to
the 23 young men of St. Joseph’s who gave their lives for their country in World War II.
Later, the dedication of the school was extended to include all graduates of Catholic
Memorial who have died in service to their country.

Our Mission

At Catholic Memorial High School,

we educate students as individuals,

intellectually and spiritually.

we guide students to work to their

CMH Drama Student Life

Catholic Memorial has a very vibrant and successful drama
department. Since 2002, CMH has been the most awarded drama
program in the state of Wisconsin. This non-cut program offers
students the ability to pursue their creative interests on stage or off
within three major productions throughout the year.

The three major productions that are created and performed yearly
are:

• One Act Performances, a competitive piece that is taken to
competitions throughout the state through the WHSFA State
Theatre Festival.

• Winter Musical, the largest of the three school productions and this
play is performed over 3 weeks of shows for audiences in the CMH
theater. Awards are also given for this play by a panel of judges from
the Tommy Awards.

• Spring Play, typically a comedy performed with a smaller cast and
crew size, that is not taken to competition levels.

Clubs and Activities

Student life at CMH is full of opportunities to explore a variety of
interests. We stress the importance of involvement in activities in
order to grow and develop as a whole person intellectually, spiritually,
and socially. Clubs and Activities are a great way for students to make
friends, learn leadership skills, and also provide service opportunities
to give back to the community.
