Rotary, Junior Giants
and Crabs team up

Community partnership
effort sends the Jr Giants
to a Crabs game for free!

With the help of Rotary Club of
Eureka board president, Jay Bahner, Lost Coast Rotaract
member, Klark Swan, and the Crabs board, the Junior
Giants received a check for $700 to send their Junior
Giants to a Crabs game on July 9th.

The Boys & Girls Club of the Redwoods Junior Giants
Program is more than just baseball. It’s a free, non-
competitive, co-ed baseball program for underserved boys
and girls, ages 5-13. Working together with local agencies,
parents, and volunteers, Junior Giants offers youth a
chance to learn the basics of baseball during the summer,
while also discovering the importance of self-esteem and
respect. Participants are taught the Junior Giants Four
Bases of Character Development: Confidence, Integrity,
Leadership and Teamwork as well as fundamental lessons
in Education, Health and Violence Prevention.

To donate, contact Chris Nystrom at the Boys & Girls
Club of the Redwoods at (707) 441-1030 or (707) 296-3699
