From the Everyman Series Director:

Welcome to the one of a kind USAT Sanctioned Lake
Atalanta Trail and Road Duathlon. Lake Atalanta has
undergone a total transformation making it a regional
favorite for its scenic and fast single-track. Loop around the
lake or hit spur trails populated with swooping bridges,
steep short climbs, and gravity cavities. You can do it all at
Lake Atalanta!
We are happy to announce the Lake Atalanta Trail and Road
Duathlon is benefiting the Alzheimer’s Association.
We hope you enjoy this event and the scenery!
Now go have fun!

Parking Information

You will not be able to be dropped off at
Lake Atalanta race morning

There is no participant or spectator parking at Lake Atalanta
race morning. All parking will be in downtown Rogers to the
west of the lake (0.7 miles away) or at the Rail Park (0.6 miles
away). Access to the Lake Atalanta Park from the Rail Park is

via a flat concrete paved trail making it very easy for your
friends and family to also access the park from there.

No one will be allowed to drive their cars down to transition
"just to drop off" a bike or participant.

8

Transition

Dos & Don’ts of Transition:

• Get to the race early to secure a good spot in transition. Ideally, this is
a spot on the end of the rack close to the bike in/out.

• On the rack, alternate front wheel directions
• Put your transition needs to the right of your front wheel
• All bikes hung by seats
• Make a mental note of landmarks to help you easily find your rack.
• Use a bright-colored towel so your area stands out. Please be

courteous. NO BEACH TOWELS!
• Leave the balloons at home - you will not make any friends if your

balloon is tangled around someone else’s bike.
• Organize your gear in the order you will use it - think through

transitions in your mind.

Spectators

Spectators are welcome to roam the venue and cheer on their friends
and family members (although we ask you to stay off any part of the

actual course for your safety and the athletes safety).

Some things to know:

• You will need to park according to the Parking Info on page 7 of
this race book, then walk down to the race site. There is a nice
paved trail that goes from The Railyard to Lake Atalanta that you
can take to stay off publicly traveled roads (although you are
welcome to walk down E. Walnut and N. Lake Atalanta Rd at
your own risk).

• Lake Atalanta has been recently restored and has many options for
playing for kids to have fun while waiting for their athlete to
finish.
