SOCCER Futsal is Back! WYSC Academy
Soccer Program
We will be running a 2019-2020 Winter
Futsal Program; the exact dates are WYSC’s Academy Training Program is
listed below. The futsal program is for any a travel-readiness program for players
players interested, recreational and travel, participating in the Under-6, Under 7, Under-8
seasoned/new. Individuals wanting to join or Under-10 division that show enthusiasm
will be assigned to a team as well as be and possess a genuine connection to

that our keepers read the attack, sort out
the options and anticipate the opponent’s

every keeper physically while insuring a

goalkeeper position.

Fall/Winter
Programs

WYSC Fall Recreational Volleyball is
a fantastic way for new and returning
players to develop/improve their volleyball
skills. WYSC provides a fun environment
for all skill levels to participate in volleyball.
Every player has an opportunity to play.
The matches are held in a rotating serve
pattern allowing players to participate in
different positions on the court.
Congratulations to the girls who made
the team. We still have a couple of open
spots in our 13-1 and 14-1 team if anyone

BASKE
The WYSC basketball program will register close to 600 players, ages 5
to High School. To provide playing opportunities for all registered players,
WYSC will need to form close to 60 teams. Each team will need a volunteer
parent coach. Your child needs your help as a coach. Please consider
coaching your child’s team. To volunteer as a coach, please go to our
home page and click “Register Online” and then select the “Basketball -
Winter 2019 - Coach’s Registration”.

Glow Basketball Is Back in March!

WYSC will open gym the for middle school girls and boys.  The cost for open gym is $10.00.  We
accept cash or check.  Space is limited as we will have 20 players max. The open gym will be
from 5-6:30pm and will not be coached. Registered players will be given a glow necklace or glow
bracelet.  There will be age appropriate music for the players. Please bring a water bottle and
running shoes.  We will have basketballs available for open gym. Please note that anyone using
profanity, or being aggressive will be asked to leave and you will not be refunded.  This is about
good clean and fun with sportmanship, anything ortherwise will not be acceptable.

Cost: $10.00
Roster: 20 players max
Date: Friday  5-6:30 pm
Rules: Teams of 5 will rotate in every 8 minutes
Location: Held at WYSC gym located at 365 W. Shirley Ave

Lacrosse All Year! ACROSS

Spring 2020 Recreational Lacrosse –
Registration is now open! Come join the
fun in the Spring of 2020! WYSC will be
hosting it’s first ever recreational lacrosse
tournament at the Athey Fields on April
20th. Practices are tentatively set to start
the first week of March, depending if the
weather permits.

WYSC Winter Lacrosse Clinics –
We’re adding a session to accommodate
the growth! Each session will be $40 per
child. If you have a younger child, please

Boys Session 1 – Nov 6th, 13th, 20th & 27th
• 6–10 age bracket 5:30pm–6:30pm
• 1–15 age bracket 6:50pm–7:30pm

Boys Session 2 – Jan 8th, 15th, 22nd & 29th
• 6–10 age bracket 5:30pm–6:30pm
• 1–15 age bracket 6:50pm–7:30pm

Girls Session – Feb 5th, 12th, 19th & 26th
• U11 age bracket 5:30pm–6:30pm
• 11+ age bracket 6:50pm–7:30pm

Year-round Lacrosse Registration –
One Registration, you select what you
want to register your child for and your
done. No more having to come back
and register for multiple programs. We
are even working on a means to accept
payments, so you do not have to pay
all at once. Stay tuned for updates and

Youth Sports Organization in Fauquier,
where your child always comes first!
