Frank Rodriguez is a graduate of the Apprenticeship
Preparation Program.

Frank had dreams of working in construction and tried to get
into a union, but didn’t know how. “I gave up on myself, and ended
up getting incarcerated again. I thought it was a lost cause.”

“I came thinking I was going to get a job, but I got a reality
check. I was able to transform myself into someone I’m not
ashamed of.” After graduation, Frank wasted no time in starting his
career. He’s now a proud member of the Plumber’s Union, Local
398.

Frank says he loves that he’s earned respect from coworkers
who don’t judge him for his past, but for the work he does.

“Today I can say, yes, I am a plumber, I am a father, I am a
