Queen Elizabeth I
Queen Elizabeth I born in September, 7 MDXXXIII a very well known queen, the
daughter of King Henry VIII and his II wife, Anne Boleyn. At the age of just II, her
parents separated, her mother beheaded, being accused of committing adultery
against King Henry VII. Although being royal blooded, Queen Elizabeth I was sent to
be raised in a separate household; away from the royal court. Queen Elizabeth I, was
educated as if she were to become a monarch. She was an extremely gifted student,
highly educated, she learned IV other languages Greek, Latin, French, and Italian.
Truth be told that Queen Elizabeth is very strong-minded, yet she isn’t stubborn. She
is very devoted to her country, England. Atlast her time to become ruler had came,
after former king and queen, Edward the VI and Mary the I died. Leaving Queen
Elizabeth to become ruler at only age XV. Being queen for the past IV years, she has
been questioned about who shall be her suitor. Her answers are the same for
everyone who’ve asked, she states that she doesn't want a love; afraid that he would
take her power. Queen Elizabeth I states herself that she is “married to the people of
England”. Although only ruling for such a short amount, Queen Elizabeth I is a
conscientious and a very able ruler. She is strong and independent but yet she is
flexible; because of this she is willing to change unpopular policies for her kingdom.
She shows political skills in balancing the interests of different people who are in her
court. Queen Elizabeth I is inspiring great love and loyalty from all of us subjects,
who we call our Queen, “Good Queen Bess”. Since Queen Elizabeth I has been ruling,
this age is now being called the “Golden Age” of England. Queen Elizabeth I supports
many things including theater, fashion, literature, dance, and education. Queen
Elizabeth I is working hard to strengthen all of England's economy. She encourages
trade and commerce. She authorized English trading companies in Africa, Asia, and
Americas. She funds sea exploration that may gain a foothold in other countries.

Michelangelo By mike Barajas
Michelangelo is a very well known Italian sculpture. Michelangelo was born on
MCMLXXV and is still alive. Michelangelo is well known for amazing sculptures like the
pieta that he made when he was 24. Or his other great sculptures David and Moses and
Moses. But sculpting isn't the only thing he was good at he also painted the ceiling of the
sistine chapel.Michelangelo is a great artist but becoming one took a long time.In a recent
interview he told us what his life before becoming an artist. When Michelangelo was a child
his life was hard, his mom died when he was 6 years old and his dad was very demanding
and stem.Which might have resulted in Michelangelo’s bad temper.Although he is religious,
that does not stop him to use fierce language. When he was 13 he became the apprentice of a
painter in Florence. at the age of 15 he began studying a sculptor who worked for a
powerful family called the medici family. He told us that he actually lived in the medici’s
house hold That was his life as a child he told us a lot about his childhood and how he
became an artist. His skills are so good that his skills are considered godlike. Michelangelo
also considered the greatest artist to live. Now that just shows how great of a sculpture he
was.He has also been through so much but that's not all he also received a couple of
commissions during his lifetime. He actually also got an apprentice by the name of Ascanio
Condivi who was born a noble man. When he moved to Rome in 1545 and became the
apprentice of Michelangelo which was actually 17 years ago. Michelangelo has no love life as
of right now at the age of 86. In Michelangelo's later life he grew a great love for a widow
named Vittoria Colonna who he met in 1536 when she was in her late forties, they actually
started writing sonnets to each other until she sadly passed away.Michelangelo explained
that he regrets not kissing the widow’s face or kiss her hand he told us in the interview.
Michelangelo is an amazing sculpture and will always live as legend as an artist.
In memory of Leonardo Da Vinci
(MCDLII - MDXIX)
Leonardo da vinci was a very well known Renaissance person since his inventions showed
that he was very ahead of his time. For example, the helicopter, Flying machine, submarine,
etc. He was also a painter, sculptor, architect, inventor, military engineer, and draftsman.
Unlike other Renaissance humanism leaders he viewed both art and science together as
important discipline. Since He was a very curious person and liked to figure out things for
himself he studied many subjects like art, music, math, architecture, engineering, botany,
and anatomy. But, he didn’t study mathematics, advanced geometry, and arithmetic until he
was XXX years old. You may know him for his famous works. For example, the Mona Lisa,
The Last Supper, Vitruvian Man, etc. The ‘Mona Lisa’ can be found in the Louvre Museum in
Paris, France to this day. The two painting techniques Leonardo da Vinci is well known for
are Chiaroscuro and Sfumato. His paintings are famous because they demonstrate
perspective, balance, and detail . His artwork influences other artists and students to detect
the principles of geometry to organize space in paintings. Leonardo Da Vinci was born on
IV- XV - MCDLII in a village near florence. He was raised by his father and stepmother.
Then, when he turned V he moved to his father’s estate and lived with his uncle and
grandparents. He began a began a lengthy apprenticeship with the notes artist Andrea del
Verrocchio. He learned a lot of technical skills like metalworking, carpentry, drawing, leather
arts, sculpting, and painting. At the age of XX da Vinci got a membership as a master artist in
Florence’s guild of saint Luke and established his own workshop and collaborated with his
teacher for another V years. Then in MDII and MDIII he worked as a military engineer in
Florence for Cesare Borgia. During the MCDLXXX Da Vinci studied anatomy seriously and
started to dissect human and animal bodies. His drawings of fetus in utero, the heart and
vascular system, sex organs and other bone and muscular structures are one of the first to be
on human record. As you can tell Leonardo Da Vinci was very successful and contributed
greatly to our society we pray that he can finally Rest In Peace.

Andreas Vesalius, Belgian Scientist
Andreas Vesalius, is a Belgian Scientist. He was born the year
of MDXIV. Andreas Vesalius says that he had became an
outstanding scientist. People say that his work changed medicine and
the study of anatomy. Vesalius said he came from a family of doctors
and also pharmacist. Vesalius said that he was always interested in
living, things and especially anatomy. Vesalius also shared that when
he was a young boy, he studied stray dogs and cats. Vesalius had
attended universities in Belgium, France, and in Italy. In the year
MDXXXVII Vesalius had earned his medical degree, specializing in
anatomy. Soon after Vesalius had become a personal doctor for Italian
and spanish royalty. Vesalius said he is a talented observer and also an
independent thinker. He also had the artist skill to draw his
observations. According to Vesalius in his day, physicians
understanding of human anatomy was based on the works of the of
the ancient Greek physician named Galen. Vesalius said he studied
Galen, but he soon broke his tradition. Like Copernicus, he was
determined to observe things for himself. Soon Vesalius had begun
dissecting, or cutting open, dead human bodies.
Andreas Vesalius, Belgian Scientist (continued)
His research showed that Galen’s work had relied on studies of
only animals. And as a result, it had many numerous errors when
applied to humans. Vesalius had made many discoveries about the
human body. For example, Vesalius showed many discoveries. Such as
the human heart has four hollow areas, called chambers. Soon his
wonderful discoveries led him to write his own seven-volume textbook
of anatomy. Vesalius had called his book On the Structure of the
Human Body. The book explained the construction of the body and how
the body actually functions. The book contained prints by many artist
that were based on Vesalius drawings of the body. People say that
Vesalius's book was a MAJOR breakthrough. It changed what people
knew about the human anatomy and how that studied it. It also had
changed physicians’ understanding of medicine. Today this very book
is seen as the world's first medical textbook.
